I've got a hanger steak doing its thing right now and perhaps over-ambitiously am trying Thomas Keller's Sauvignon Blanc braised pineapple after.

For Meatless Monday i had a big bowl of lettuce. I also sliced up some potatoes and onion and baked it with
sauteed mushrooms and some triple creme washed rind cheese (Saint Angel) on top. I have to admit I barely came out of this one alive.

It's almost summer salad, if something with that much cheese can be called a salad

Post workout brunch. I tried to recreate "Slut" from Eggslut, basically whipped potatoes topped with a coddled egg, sous vide at 149 for 30 minutes. Not bad at all.

My post workout meal - I made a pot of Yemenite chicken soup with a whole chicken last night. You know it's going to be good when you take it out of the fridge and the whole pot jiggles, LOL.

No clue what I'm making Monday. Something seafood-y sounds fun.

Chicken breasts at 149 for 1 hour 15 minutes (it was a big boi, this is only a third of the breast) then seared for 45 seconds on each side in its honey and soy sauce marinade. I'm never going back to preparing chicken breasts any other way. The rest is leftover rice from last night's feast and a cucumber and shallot salad.

Last night was Dushanbe Plov, tomato salad, walnut stuffed eggplant rolls and homemade plombir with an earl grey and boiled milk caramel sauce and toasted hazelnuts.

So, I ended up making a no-knead dough with whole wheat flour, yeast, salt, and warm water:

And that's what it looked like after I 'pulled it together' - 3 hours after I formed the dough.
This is what it looked like after baking in a dutch oven (30 minutes lid on, 16 minutes lid off, 450F)

We waited for it to cool, and then I made some 'Mediterranean tuna dip' with tuna, capers, olives, olive oil, tomato paste, and some cilantro. Normally I'd use basil and mint instead of cilantro but I didn't have any, and this combination worked out just fine:

The bread was a LOT better than I thought it would be, and a really cool 'pantry raid' (thanks Alton) idea for times like these.

Made this last night. I cut up a fennel bulb and dill then put it between two pieces of trout then seasoned it. Finally I trussed the filets together.
Cooked it in the sous vide the broiled it.

It came out wonderful.
