SOTD Sauvage Parfum

I think this is much more wearable than the EDT and EDP since it doesn't present itself loudly like a hangry 3 yr old kid.

Smells good to me but not bottle worthy. Just wouldn't reach for it anywhere near enough.

Scent of the Morning






Havent worn this one since september or october of 2019. Really spicy and the most easily enjoyed ambergris i've personally encountered. This one never got the hype of other Bortnikoffs but it's one of my favorites by far. Strong as a bitch too. only one spray to wrist and one to chest.


Notes:Cardamom, indian vetiver, oakmoss, ambergris, Myrrh, Clove, Nutmeg, violet leaf, cedarwood, and tonka bean.

Sauvage EDT feels like my guilty pleasure frag, I think because every time I grab my bottle I think of all the hate it gets online. The Parfum version is definitely nice and feels a bit more grown up, but I agree not a bottle buy.

I did and was so excited to do so because the notes sound sexy as fuk. Got my sample and absolutely hated it, Tuberose overpowered the entire fuking creation. That said Areej Le Dore and Bortnikoff are notorious for having their scents smell significantly different 6 months after release.

I'm going to look in my box-o-samples to see if i still have it to revisit it.

No need. Like Bal D'Afrique (Africano), I force myself to wear other stuff for the sake of variety. I could probably wear Amber Cologne every day for a month straight and not get tired of it. There's not going to be some "hnnnnnng" opening experience like with aventus, 540 extrait, africano etc... but it's just a perfect fragrance good for all seasons and temps. When you factor in the fact it's cheaper than MFK, Kilian, and Tom Ford bottles, it's a no brainer.


Mind is actually nuked it's not sold out already.

I know that some say tester bottles are formulated differently, but what's everyone's opinion on that?

Given the choice to buy a full tester vs a regular bottle, do you always go for the tester? Do you avoid the tester? Does it matter at all? Wondering what experiences some of you have had.

I've never personally come across a tester that was any different from a retail bottle. I'd look at buying a tester if it meant I got the frag cheaper and I didnt give a chit about having a correct lid, but that's it.
