I ran some #s on 3 qbs, looking at passing td’s per game vs sub 500 teams and 500 and over teams, 4 year time span
Qb1 Avgs 1.66 tds under 500 and 1.34 over 500
Qb2 avgs 1.87 tds under 500 and 1.19 over 500
Qb3 avgs 2.09 tds under 500 and 1.91 over 500

Anyone want to guess who the qbs are?

Were you able to factor in garbage time TDs while being down by double digit points against over 500 teams?

factored all passing tds in, even playoffs

Qb1 is daltons first 4 years
Qb2 is daks first 4 years
Qb3 is Romos final 4 full seasons

In my opinon, the spread shows who’s most consistent , regardless of the competitions record
Dak had the biggest spread , romo the smallest

Dak and dalton had a really close tds per game average through their first 4 years

Defense was very good in 2014, and Romo had his best season ever, and IMO, worthy of MVP consideration......truly shocking....

I fukin miss watching Romo. Dude would give you a heart attack sometimes, but man, so much excitement watching him throw bombs to T.O and Dez. His legacy could have been very different if the Dallas front office hired competent coaches and made smarter roster decisions during his prime.

That was easily the most painful year to be a Dallas fan. We had a great year, none of those gut wrenching loses in the regular season, Murray/Romo/Dez combo was a force..... Sadly that defense that overachieved drastically during the regular season, took a effing dump against Rodgers and the Packers. Dude was on one leg and we couldn't get pressure.

The dallas cowboys were the #1 passing team in the league within 1 score either way in 2019.

Per sharp stats.

Romo's EPA in 2014 rivaled that year Manning really lit it up in Indy (RIP NFLScrapR)

Andy Dalton's best year in 2014, He added .07 EPA per play. Dak avg .04 in 2017.
Dalton actually had negative EPA in 2011 and 2012.

Dak's lowest EPA is .04

.04-2017
.09-2018
.22-2019
.25-2016.

25.7% of his yards came on 3rd/5+ in 2016, after they "imposed their will".

Fun fact.

The Minnesota game a playoff "above 500 team".

They ran the ball for a STAGGERING 2.3 ypc 16 times on first down (78%). Wonder why we lost?

1st down Run/Pass game splits 2019:

Passing offense in one possession games.

The qb y'all are trying to compare dak to:

The qb you should be comparing dak to:

People just casually forgetting the beasting Cincy's Defense did.

Dak's highest defensive DVOA was #10 and that was 2018 when they got clapped by the Colts and then mushed by pancakes Anderson in the playoffs.

Just like Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison combined for 174 yards after contact in 2019.

Sharp's site is really, really good about singling out splits/plays/downs/teams/... really whatever but it only goes back to 2016.

Football outsiders lets you pull DVOA back to 2009ish IIRC

Excited to see what Crawford back and competent coaching can do.

When your defense is so vanilla Mitchell Trubisky turns into prime vick and Darnold looks like 2014 Romo.....you got issues

Yes and one has had a significantly better team.. Albeit same poverty coach situation.

Neon Cowboys really.

They don't let their qb throw until 3rd down, he converts and it's right back to the run.

I ran wentz’ s #s, he’s got a .51 spread , a lot closer to Daks .68 than Wilson’s .13

To be clear. This is looking at tds per game vs 500 teams, tds per game vs 500 and over teams, then taking the difference between to 2 #s ( spread)

On the real, wentz is solid but being a durable qb hella important. He’s hasn’t stayed healthy yet

When he's on he's scary good.

He was fantastic against us in the final game, he also barely scraped by a terribad Washington team the week before b/c he put the ball on the ground 4 times.

He and DJ will fumble that B if you stress them out.

4 attempts, 1 completion, 3 yards in the playoffs though.

Edit:

Reagor is going to be a PROBLEM, especially if Fassell doesn't fix the punt team. Allthough we should never punt, that **** is for cowards.

I don’t know, but facts are facts. Jerry has helped more African American players than any owner in the league imo.

...and I genuinely think he is NOT a racist. He is just a proud American and wants to honor the national anthem. There are flaws in American history but put your feelings aside and honor the dead men and women of all backgrounds for that short time.
