I am an engineer who has worked in military R&D, manufacturing engineering and Oil and gas engineering/construction.

Working on getting the hell out. I've already got a great start to my career and setting myself up for retirement by living in America and am thankful for that. That said, this country keeps getting more and more ****ty socially as the years go by. Assuming I don't get laid off, I'm likely asking my Company for a transfer to an Asian country if I can swing it. Otherwise, I'm going to try and do it myself within the next 2 years.

Lol absolutely not. Moving to a rural place once I am financially independent however. Either in Texas or New Hampshire.

I would consider living abroad in a few countries but unsure if it makes sense overall.

America still the GOAT even after all this. Can't imagine not having the 2A or 1A or even more SJW types (More of EU).

as an American who was proud to be an American up until this week, I can say this country has shown it is a complete wash. Eh...I've been to Germany, Japan, South Korea, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, Iceland. Lived in Korea and Japan for two years. All better than US in my opinion. Why am I still here? Thought about leaving. Am still thinking. Not easy to start a new life in another country.
