Reparations arent a handout. Its a progressive move to right Americas original sin which is slavery. It would help heal this country. Black Americans are American and America has not done the right thing its time to fix that.

You'd be surprised actually. ATL is known as the black mecca because of all the black businesses. There's also the DMV area and the south which host a lot of black businesses. Nowhere near as much as whites or Asians, but the numbers are there

My comment wasn't directed at black people, but towards people as a whole. Giving anyone a large sum of money will generally not lead to them bettering themselves and putting it towards good use. You should look up lottery winners if you want to see what happens when you give random people large sums of money - they are 3 to 5 times more likely to go bankrupt than the average American. Why would you expect giving someone a large sum of money for reparations to be any different?

Slavery is inhuman and doesn’t exist in the western world anymore. Let alone the fact human rights never matter in those days. We learned as humans and grew, thankfully. Also the fact that there were white people that actually risked their lives to free them and actually help them return to Africa..

Reparations to who? All black people? Even the rich ones? How does that help anyone?

You want to equalise the classes then give money to the lower class citizens, regardless of race. Because that's the whole argument isn't it? More black people have lower socio-economic status. Guess what, we already have that. It's called welfare.

A large sum wouldn't be possible overnight. It'd have to be over say, 20 years.

Lol if you think we have trillions to throw around. The currency is done for without any additional federal spending, let alone with trillions of dollars of transfer payments. Paying for healthcare alone is a stretch.

I'm in contact with many of these. Their head start is that they can pay children off in Mexico and live off "unlivable conditions" in the US while Whites and Blacks can't compete. Though it affects Blacks much more since they at least had these jobs on lock in the 60s.
