Well OP let me help you..MOST of those old "stupid" people grew up in a time when everyone wasnt a big f&*n puzzy..ALSO MANY of those old people dont have anyone willing to help them..ALSO some of those old people would rather do for themselves as to have to be waited on like millennial b&*ches..I sure hope this helps.

Ah, the elephant-in-the-room that nobody talks much about. Actually, there are TWO "invisible elephants" in the room.

People who talk about COVID tend to talk ONLY about COVID. There are the people who go to ER or ICU for typical reasons, such as accidents, infections, strokes and heart attacks, etc. If all those units are occupied by COVID patients, even these urgent cases may not get timely treatment. Sometimes minutes or even seconds can make all the difference.

I heard a report that hospitals in Houston are now talking about sending some COVID patients back home to simply die, because there isn't enough capacity to treat everybody. Or was that Miami-Dade in Florida; or both?

THE OTHER ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM is that almost always they only talk about three groups of people: Those who have died, those who are in hospital, and those who have "RECOVERED." But what does "recovered" mean? A tangible and relevant percentage of these "recovered" people are left with some type of impairment, perhaps their lungs reduced from 100% capacity to 45% capacity and unlikely ever to get better, or reduced ability to use one or more limbs, or congestive heart failure, kidney damage, loss of taste and smell, or kick diabetes into full throttle...this is a WEIRD disease, and there are a lot of seemingly unrelated things that can go awry.

If you lose half of your lung capacity, you will almost certainly lose some of the lifespan you may have otherwise had. Same is true of many other things this virus can cause. IT IS *NOT* SOMETHING TO BE TREATED AS TRIVIAL, GUYS.

I'm old (I mean really old, I'm at the gates of 73), and I go out only as necessary. Not only that, but I will NOT go out without a mask. I've only done that once since 11 March, and that was a 1.5-mile Saturday night midnight walk in Chicago (no, I didn't get shot, lol), and it was a strange bleak cityscape with nobody out, and pretty much nobody in cars, in a part of town that normally has some life at night. It almost feels apocalyptic. I even still wear gloves when I go out, which seems to have disappeared as a habit before the middle of May. I want no part of this disease. I still do have "100%" of my lung capacity (I mean, that hasn't been tested) and I don't want to lose that, or any other functions, until I may lose them naturally.

OP triggered by grandma at the grocery store lol. Old people probably calling each other on their jitterbug phones asking "why are the young people such wimpy little *******s these days?!"

My biggest pet peeve by far is slowness. Seems like 90% of the people I’m around at any given time is moving at -20% their capable speed lol. I try to be patient but it’s not my strongest quality. I’m not talking about the extremely old or handicapped in anyway. I’m saying perfectly healthy people at all ages.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.
Makes me feel eternal, all this Pain is an Illusion.
