Yes, I would gladly sign up for an even higher than my current 40+% effective tax rate if it helps fund these people with mental illnesses in hopes that one day they will not shove 92 year old women.

Can we find an island for these sick fuks already?

This doesnt happen as much as you think.

I have never seen someone do a search without consent. Usually an officer will tell someone they are frisking them, then feel something on someones pocket and ask if they can check it and the person 9/10 times says yes. Thats legal and conesnt, the person should have just said "no you may not"

Also never entered a house or known anyone to enter a house without screams coming from inside of the house, reasonable suspicion someone is dead or injured inside like elderly person who fell down/not responding to family, or see people fighting. Ive seen small amounts of drugs inside and thats never enough to go inside without a warrant.

And define "coerce" ID? It goes along with the frisking and searching, if someone doesnt tell an officer "No" and refuse how were they coerced?

As for dogs alerting, I would say a solid 98% of the time ive seen local dogs alert, drugs were found, so thats a pretty solid true positive.

In NC 98% of k9 interdiction stops yielded 0 contraband.

Nationwide drug dogs only hit at 50 to 55%.Cops only have as long as it takes to write a ticket to get the dog there yet will routinely hold someone longer than necessary to get the dog there.

Handlers can make their dogs alert and then it's cart blanche.

Coercing ID equals threatening with arrest if you don't show ID. Or Taking ID out of someone's pocket without consent.

Well in my state if you are witness to a crime, including a traffic offense as that is a crime, or an officer has probable cause to believe a crime was committed and finds that person pertinent to his investigation, a person must ID. Also of course any person committing any level of offense MUST present an ID or be placed under detention and taken to a magistrate before being let go.

As for the dogs, most good officers I know who call for a dog have pretty damn good reason to believe the person has drugs before they call the dog so its hit rate is much higher because they had a strong enough hunch the person had drugs and they obviously refused consent to search as well.

So are any of you good post links to your statistics regarding dogs?
If it’s true only dogs only hit 50-55% of the time nationwide then clearly you have shown strong bias toward one side, while if the stats are fake it’s obviously the other way around.

Also wtf at shoving a 90 year old walking with a rollator... and with 100 priors... just shoot him in both knees at this point. How is that guy not locked up what the fuk.

I had a cop call the dogs on me because I was driving late at night with an air freshener on my rear view and a bag in the back seat of my car. He said he knew for sure I was transporting a large amount of drugs on the highway because I had been pulled over with an ounce of weed once, for which the cop just took it and let me go. (about a year before it was legalized federally).

He tried to get me to exit the vehicle and arrest me, I'll never forget it. Said he had 3 reasons he could arrest me: 1: I had an air freshener 2: I had a bag in my backseat and he didn't know what was in there 3: I was driving a vehicle registered in Alberta in BC.

Other than that all my interactions have mostly been fairly positive.

See Jest this is a bullchit stop.

They had no pc. You can tell by his bumper cam. They just wanted to hassle someone and run for warrants. The guy should be compensated for his time.

These are the actions people are sick of.

If you are in texas they must be arrested including a witness before they must ID. I don't know if you are in Texas but Texas cops get that wrong all the time.

Secondly a witness has no legal responsibility to make a statement to you so detaining them is actually going to probably lead to a 5th amendment violation.

I would callout too, mayor wont care neither will governor. They got private security thats why they support the police defund
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

I also love how cops equate refusing to answer questions or a search as being combative and or having something to hide.

That's bullschit.

Dogs are just tools. I always thought it was bull**** that an officer could delay a stop by calling for a dog. Now the stop cannot be extended past the length it takes to run someone and issue a citation (Rodriguez). I thought that was good win for civil liberties.

Dog certification programs are rigorous and dogs will be taken out of service for not indicating properly during certification and constant recertification.

All of God's creatures are flawed and make mistakes or have have the ability to do wrong. Shoring up the programs with integrity should be the cause, not eliminating then.

I've been part of dogs finding scarface *******, weed, and every thing else they are trained to find. They've even found fire arms used in homicides. Valuable tool!

Section A is the only section that covers failure to identify.

Section B is if I give you a fake name.

So yes. You have to arrest someone for a primary crime before you can charge them with failure to ID

Aren't you Canadian?

If so, I have nothing to discuss with you simply because you have different laws and rights than we do and anything you may or may not do doesn't pertain to us or myself.
