Go get is surgically repaired. Make sure it's done laproscopically not the traditional long cut across the groin.
3 days after the surgery you will not feel a thing, its as if you never had a hernia or surgery - laparoscopic is a god send
After about 3 months after i had my bi-lateral inguinal hernia repaired i started training very "lightly"

Had one on the right side. Felt like kind of a pinch/burning feeling in my groin/right testicle. Got the surgery, its alot better but you can tell something is off still. Hopefully it never tears again but something tells me it will. Still have some weird pain in my right testicle....

Had it on my right side just over a year ago.
Not really painful, just a big lump hanging out. Made me a little nauseous, especially if I was active.
Had the surgery, repaired it and put mesh over the spot. First few days after surgery were so painful even just to roll over in bed.
I can still feel the spot now when I move just right, not really painful just a slight discomfort. My doc said it's probably scar tissue that I'm feeling.
After some light training and loads of mobility work, I don't feel it as much anymore.

I had one for years and never realized it. Had the surgery done two years ago. The surgery was fine. Laroscopically is the way to go. It's a painful recovery but a you'll be able to do some light training in a couple of months. I'm still a bit gun shy when lifting heavy though. And I can feel the mesh/scar tissue once in a while.

They meshed the main tear and stitched two more they found while in surgery.
Recovery was very painful for a few days while the gas released out of my abdomen.
Had surgery to repair in November, light training end of January full strength by end of March.

Before repair did any of you feel increased pain when stressed or when doing ab work?
My lower abdomen and sometimes testicles have hurt more when stressed or training in the last couple of months.

My hernia was pretty obvious but I never felt any pain. It wasn't until after the surgery that I would feel tingles of mild pain at the surgery sites whenever I felt stressed. Ab work doesn't bother it though. I don't feel pain working out anymore but I'm still a bit gun shy with going heavy.

Three days of pain then about a week of soreness and slight pain if you move the wrong way.

The fuk head has now referred me to pain management. I’d rather off myself than pop pills. What a fuking prick.
