Nostalgia getting me on this one brahs.

They definitely sucked, but back when I started lifting in 98, this was the only place in town that had protein.

It wasn't that expensive back then either. Of course, it tasted like absolute arse and didn't mix for chit. Their "banana" protein powder tasted like 40 year old oatmeal.

Also had a friend buy Ripped Fuel from them and holy chit that was potent. People talk about Jack3D as being the OG crazy preworkout, but Ripped Fuel was even crazier. I believe it had ephedra. Total nuts, no sleep was had that night.

the uninformed masses still see them as an authority. I worked in one on an old air force base. Was mostly old veterans buying vitamins.

I also worked for them after getting red-pilled on supplements, so that was rough.

I would lean against the counter most of the time. I started bringing in my laptop after a while because I always worked alone and the cameras didnt work there anyways. I actually joined the misc while I was working there.

Every once in a while I'd sit in a broken massage chair in the back.

That summer was so depressing. I didn't have any family within 200 miles. Most of the other college people went home for the summer. lol

Oh yeah, I was actually trying to be helpful with telling people the truth about supplements and how you can get the same product for cheaper. Those people would still buy the more expensive products because the packaging looked more flashy.

Dude that reminds me...once had an obese woman come in for fat burners and was convinced it would help her. Instead of going full GNC-rep and making her buy a 10 product stack, I told her the truth that she has to calorie track or she can easily out-eat the small calorie burn that those overpriced caffeine pills would provide.

I gave her a calorie tracker website, a low carb/fat protein powder, and general weight loss advice. She immediately got this overwhelmed look on her face and walked out without buying a single thing, lmfao.

We also had this guy who redpilled a lady buying test boosters. He was an old juice head and saw the Cellucor P6 for $160 and said "if I wanted to spend that much I'll just buy the real stuff. Some (insert OJ here)".

The lady started asking him questions. "What was that thing thing you said you take?" and backed out of the sale.

I had numerous things like that happen. I remember feeling bad for some guy looking to buy Muscletech products that didn't have much money. I told him and showed him that Six Star was made buy the same company and every ingredient was the same but the difference was one product being $ 20 and the other being close to $80.

The guy still bought the expensive stuff.

The best part was when I was supposed to throw away expired product. Instead of going in the dumpster, they would go in my car.

It was literally a day expired. Ill survive from the consumption.

GNC was a POS. Can't believe they made it this long. Always dealt with stuck up staff members who had been lifting for maybe a month trying to give unsolicited advice. RIP

Damn that sucks I like hopping in there sometimes to pickup an energy drink. They have way more variety than gas stations they have Bucked Up and 3D etc
