I watched the video...made me feel like I've just been coping with Dak.

But I gotta see him under the new HC to send a final verdict. In the vid when they're breaking down the Vikings play nothing was mentioned about the lead up to it...which we were all fuming about.

Pats game and Bills game were just a chitshow iirc

There's also a narrative that cousins sucks which is the furthest from the truth and there's a narrative that Watson is "just a winner".

A large portion of this fan base still thinks zeke carries this team when he's been a ****ing anchor.


Dak is pffs 5th ranked qb vs playoff teams in his career.



Oh and we've had red headed Jeff Fisher at the wheel for a decade who has 41 wins by more than one possession in his career, 23 of those vs sub 500 teams. That dude could have Patrick Mahomes and find a way to **** it up.

So then lets see if Dak improves or stays the same under McCarthy. I think that would be a good litmus test as to whether or not pay him his ridiculous demands. His inability to make necessary throws when it matters most against teams that they should have beaten is what stings in the fan base's minds. It's hard to swallow.

I’m not sure how looking at the most recent 3 years is intentionally misleading
It’s the most current info
If we want to look at last season alone. He’s 2-6 vs .500 and up teams
One could argue that dak is trending down in that regard (which also lines up with his tds per game regression against .500+ teams)

Does Dak play special teams?

How about the fact the defense hasn't scored in two seasons?

fair enough, I checked the stats, and there’s a bit of a trend, record against .500 and up teams
2016 6-4
2017 3-5
2018 4-5
2019 2-5, let’s give him the minny game as he played well
9-15, different than Kollmans # as he only counts games against winning teams

I do realize football is a team game but I also realize that daks w/l record is also referenced as a pro for dak
I’m just of the opinion that dak usually doesn’t play well against .500 and up teams
Here’s the difference in passing tds when facing sub 500 teams and .500 and up
2016 - 4% less
2017 - 7% less
2018 - 15% less
2019 - 55% less

Which ends up magnifying the ONE mistake that happens bc you left yourself zero margin of error. Not to mention the clock management and other dick stepping he'd do at the end of said close games.

I'm just so, so happy he's finally ****ing gone and it SOUNDS like McCarthy learned the error of his ways bc he was a lot like Red at the end of his GB tenure.


I hope he doesn't regress to what's comfortable when it's time to put them on the table.

Zeke is a product of volume stats.

Garrett won coach of the year in 2016 by playing 1994 football while a qb we all thought was just along from the ride was converting 47% of 3rd and longs.


The redzone offense of this team has been putrid outside of that lights out year Romo had in 2014(another wasted chance by Red) , the whole design and philosophy down there is trash.

Dak has really left us in a gray area due to his clutchness and big boy football play. Along with his inconsistency in moments. We can argue all day and night but we won't come to a true conclusion honestly. Let this year play out and we'll see what type of QB he is with 3 stellar WRs and a competent coach

Yep and the 70/30 run pass splits vs good teams regardless of qb for Red's tenure is a pretty good tell as to why they dip.

He's like fonzi in Waterboy when the scary man is across the field.


What sucks is we most likely won't even get a good feel this year if we even get football bc all the obvious reasons.

if you look at the stats, they really didn’t start to dip until 2018 and 2019, with 2019 Really skewing the #s
Here’s the trend
2016 - 4% less - linehan
2017 - 7% less - linehan
2018 - 15% less - linehan
2019 - 55% less - Moore

In all fairness, 2019 really messed up his td drop % and is somewhat an outlier, although the trend is there
