A lot of the Regular black brahs on here now are from that other sht website that literally just blindly spouts the democratic narrative that everyone is racist against black people and the whole world is designed to oppress them. You can see all of them posting their ******* little emotes all the time. Even before this they always were posting sht and trying to make it about race and culture vulture sht.

One of those odd ducks who actually wants to have a conversation about topics here.

FWIW I do believe in systemic racism. Except that I don't believe that it is exactly driven by race at this point in time. More that the effects of previous actions are still echoing through society.

The biggest -ism that barely gets a whisper is classism and most of it is directed against poor people. There are a lot of laws in Texas that essentially penalize people for not having money- and consequently charge them fat fees.

Many posters seem to have a big chip on their shoulders against fat people and poor people. There are a lot of comments to the effect of "it's their own fault".

Might stem from some kind of insecurity in the sense that some who aren't fat or aren't poor want to believe that is something that they fully control, or something that they have earned. The idea that if they themselves were to live the same life, walk in the same shoes, that they too might be fat or poor is too disconcerting.

It is like this across the internet - in all honesty I see people across the internet essentially calling for the wider public to treat Trump like a "racist serial killer" and those echo chambers abound.

Here on the Misc I see very juvenile attempts from posters like Fozzy (who has equivocated already between "getting divorced" and "likely getting divorced") who use phrases like "police brutality" while always leaving out his subtext (race).

Those of us who care about police brutality as such talk about accountability and training, while recognizing that crime rates in the U.S are staggering and social cooperation with police isn't what it could be.

It is so volatile because people still can't get over the fact that Trump won and that he's likely going to win again. So issues like "police brutality" are linked to "race" and then linked to a "racist President" in a very infantile form of rhetoric.

But I'm sure HoI and his rants against white women, white men, Latinos and Mexicans, and the "west" in general is an example of fine posting in the OP"s eyes. Derp.
