I agree. Joe Biden pushed legislation making it so against those so called "super predators."

They chose an effective yet lopsided approach and went against principle. Chad tooting a line with stacy apparently wasnt held in the same regard as the crack epidemic that killed hundreds of thousands of black men.

Jesus Christ! This bothers you? Black people are oppressed by their illegal choice of drug? You realise how absurd this is?

Lol @ thinking these kind of degenerates know what it means to take responsibility for their own shietty action (or lack of) and lives.. much easier to play victim and white ppl are definitely not inconvenient in that circumstance.

Asian here, and I can confirm that I’ve received far more abuse than my black friends have. Maybe that’s because I grew up in an area where it was 50% black and 50% white and the odd Asian.

There’s no racism against blacks. Obama got voted as president ffs. Show me a Mexican, Asian president. You can’t have the majority of a country vote a black man into presidency, one of the most popular votes too if I recall and still call that same country racist.

And redlining is not racist. its called credit profiling, it couldn’t care less if you are black, it assesses your credit risks based on actual facts because it’s financially-driven rather than idealogically or politically-driven.

Plus isn’t the law to put someone in jail, is for “intent to distribute drugs” rather than just possession of drugs for personal use?

I always lol when you ask libs for an example of systemic racism and the best thing they can come up with is something that ended over 50 years ago. So we don't actually have systemic racism in 2020? Didn't think so

You cannot rationalize with children. Every year, every event, every absurd moment from all this line-of-thinking from SJW and the left is so absurd you lose motivation. It's the same people who put trigger warnings on old movies like: "May contain outdated cultural depiction that could offend". This is the type of person you're trying to have a mature argument with.

They are the most mainstream protected group in the country, meanwhile it's perfectly fine to sh*t on Asians, Indians etc while they are foreign and still continue to succeed. However, when you start taking over city blocks, beating up vendors, destroying businesses and murdering innocent people because one junky 5x felon was murdered by a stupid cop, then leaders have to go zero tolerance mode - this is for everyone a part of these groups, no particular race.

It's the same pattern with feminism. Cry victim, used historical events that no longer pertain to them, get full support from virtue signalling politicians, companies and media, want equal outcomes based on lesser effort purely because of the group they are a part of.

If these dumb fuks think their reckless criminal rampage was a crusade against anything noble then no, it's actually set everything further back. They are lucky they live in a country where it was even allowed to go on for 1 day - meanwhile they hate and bitch about enforcement, lol.

Here is the reality, nothing will change if 3rd parties are constantly used as scapegoats. The change has to come within, until then we just wait until the selective picked murder occurs and everything we argue about just repeats itself. Evidence? Look at Australia and many other countries who have the exact same template of issues.

The other red pill is every race is never going to view each other the same--to what degree is what you can change--because that's just inherit in every species. As long as extreme views and actions are not tolerated, there is always going to be a baseline bias depending what the majority of the population make up us - could be in China, could be anywhere. That's actually natural and the left want a world that is unnatural, idealistic with zero way to realistic support it.

At what point will people finally realize BLM is a Marxist Communist revolutionary group.

This whole blm thing is almost like a psychological experiment (or zoo exhibit)
Its embarrassing that people with such little logic and common sense even exist.. i mean truly retarded people have an excuse but what about all these retards coming out of the woodworks now? They are actually allowed to drive around, work, marry, have kids..etc like they are self-aware people and make big boy and big girl decisions which is scary. Or people you've associated with before are showing their true colors of how ignorant and stupid they are and you may have never known if it wasnt for whats goin on right now.

That muzzieslut for example.. always knew she was probably a slut and has mental issues but now shes just been added to my forum ignore list, that way I never have to waste another second accidentally reading something as stupid as she said above. Really someone that says stuff that stupid shouldnt be allowed a voice..

"In Macon today, 91 percent of redlined neighborhoods are inhabited by mostly minorities; 73 percent of such neighborhoods remain low-to-moderate income, researchers found. Whites, on the other hand, remain the overwhelming majority in Macon neighborhoods deemed “best” in the 1930s — all of which remain middle-to-upper income."

its almost like there were longitudinal effects.... which makes sense since something like 3 percent of the children born into the bottom quintile of of income homes make it to the next income quintile

Fine, if you'd like a modern 2020 example, how about black inmates getting harsher sentences than whites when things like prior history are equal?

----> Move this to R/P.

Anyways it's really weird you blame others for being illogical, while admitting yourself, you don't understand what they are conveying. Anyways there is no logical fallacy there anyways, since you didn't provide a coherent argument on either side.

At first you have to understand, that protesters are always enraged mobs and most of them will follow a bastardized broken down version of whatever their actual views are.

Now that is a really bold claim you are making and nothing anyone should be able to answer as easily and quickly as you believe you can here. Giving such monocausal explanation for any social issue is always pretty weird (and even if kinda right still so much of a simplifiction, it becomes wrong). Even if you are 100% right and all those problems come from within, they would still help creating a vicious cycle and fuel systemic racism outside of the communities, which could come back and harm them more.

I think the difference beetween yours and the left position is more of a moral one though.
Your believe in personal responsibility is way stronger, than those on the left do. There are two ways to perceive liberty. For the right it is mostly the freedom to decide, what someone wants to do. If you just look for laws treating them unfairly the black people have all the power to make it. Shure someone from a poor neighbourhood might face some more obstacles, but nothing stops him from bettering himself. His own responsibility is really high. Promoting conservative values might guide people to make the right decision.
The left sees liberty more in the way of empowering people. For them it is important to use active measures to remove those obstacles, which make it harder for certain people to better themselves and to help them when they are down. Therefore outside interference by a "nanny state" is welcome. Personal responsibility only starts, when starting conditions are equalized to a certain degree.

Why not? It certainely raised awareness and puts a lot of pressure on the public to start certain programs and help those communities.

Class is the defining aspect of your life and trumps everything else.

Recognizing that there are a disproportionate number of POC in the lower class does not have anything to do with needing to address class first.

If you address class, you automatically fix inequality. If you try to use race based solutions to fix class based problems you will fail, intentionally.
I agree to an extent. Focussing on race and totally throwing out class issues can be really damaging.

https://repository.law.umich.edu/cgi...ntext=articles

I didnt read the whole 36 pages, skimmed the intro, the methods and a decent amount of the discussion (basically im not claiming to be any expert on this paper and I have no interest in spending hours fully researching this topic to not convince anyone, that aside...)

The abstract

"Using rich data linking federal cases from arrest through to sentencing,
we find that initial case and defendant characteristics, including arrest
offense and criminal history, can explain most of the large raw racial
disparity in federal sentences, but significant gaps remain. Across the
distribution, blacks receive sentences that are almost 10 percent longer
than those of comparable whites arrested for the same crimes. Most of
this disparity can be explained by prosecutors’ initial charging decisions,
particularly the filing of charges carrying mandatory minimum sentences. Ceteris paribus, the odds of black arrestees facing such a charge
are 1.75 times higher than those of white arrestees."

couple things i noted,

"97% of federal convictions are guilty pleas..."Page 6- first paragraph 7 (its long and there are post limits so im giving you the gyst and you can fact check at your own discretion)

Basically says that DA's are given a huge discretion of what they may charge the defendant with. They often go for the most severe that often have minimums to get them to plead guilty out of fear";the threat of the initial charges may induce the defendant to plead guilty on less favorable terms."

This means 3 percent of non guilty pleas are convicted which is quite small, and assuming this isnt somehow accounted for by the researchers (id expect theyre comparing guilty to guilty rather than guilty to non guilty defenses), this wouldn't account for the difference in sentence lengths as a whole.

"In the federal system, more than half of the black-white sentence disparity that is unexplained by the arrest offense and offenders’ prior traits can be explained by initial charge decisions, particularly the prosecutors’ decision to file charges that carry “mandatory minimum” sentences. Ceteris paribus, they do so 65 percent more often against black defendants"

Then in the conclusion has that on average blacks serve 10 percent longer with the same factors

heres another report

https://www.ussc.gov/research/resear...ces-sentencing

3rd point in the key findings

"Black male offenders received sentences on average 20.4 percent longer than similarly situated White male offenders, accounting for violence in an offender’s past in fiscal year 2016, the only year for which such data is available. This figure is almost the same as the 20.7 percent difference without accounting for past violence. Thus, violence in an offender’s criminal history does not appear to contribute to the sentence imposed to any extent beyond its contribution to the offender’s criminal history score determined under the sentencing guidelines."

so in both cases where there were violent and non violent pasts, the sentencing still seems to favour whites

I dunno mate, if you have the debunking literature ill give it a skim but most stuff im easily finding on scholar and google is pretty favorable to there being disparaged sentencing

its almost like there were longitudinal effects.... which makes sense since something like 3 percent of the children born into the bottom quintile of of income homes make it to the next income quintile

Fine, if you'd like a modern 2020 example, how about black inmates getting harsher sentences than whites when things like prior history are equal?
It says a lot when the best excuse for "systemic racism" that people can come up with is of blacks committing a crime, whether it be drugs or whatever and instead of the message being "blacks you should stop committing so much damm crime", it is instead "why do they get harsher sentences". lol.

And you can't prove there is systemic racism around the sentencing. Show me the policy, law, point your finger exactly to where it says blacks get extra x years for x crime compared to whites. To make it easier for you, I'll give you an example - "affirmative action" - see how easy that was when something is systemic, you can actually point to where it is in the system specifically?

The argument against that is that black people often use public defenders, who take on many cases and often they plead easily for longer sentences. A study would need to be done comparing it to whites of similar class, or even better, a history of the public defender's cases whereby their cases are analysed at an individual level. Take away the race from it, group them all by class and crime, arrange them by length of sentence, then group by race. Do that across many public defenders. Then you have the proof.

For example, why is it that you need to have a higher amount of ******* to be crime and a very little amount of crack? The latter gets stiffer legal punishments than the former. The former is the drug of choice of rich, white people who often get away with a slap on the wrist for possession while the latter can be found in poor neighborhoods mostly used by minorities.

It's that kind of systemic racism that is bothersome.
I'm not disputing your assertion that this is systemic racism per se because I cannot assert that it is not.

I am curious if you think both substances have an equal negative effect on society? I would say that IME the latter is far more devastating and has an extremely devastating effect on communities in comparison. Maybe it's the price difference idk, but it is exasperating societal dysfunction everywhere it exists.

My follow up question (if you consider the latter compound to have a more detrimental effect on society) would be: Do you think that the apparent disparity on quantity to constitute a crime matches their respective negative effects on society?

1. This is the difference between descriptive and prescriptive statements... Looking into whether race comes into play within the judicial system and coming to a conclusion is a descriptive statement, im describing what is NOT what ought to be. Saying x group should stop commiting so much damn crime" as you eloquently put it, is a meaningless prescriptive statement and doesnt get you anywhere. Policy change suggestions are better...

2. I think all citizens should get a fair trial and that sentencing should be accounting and consistent based on the crime and the history rather than ethnicity. The system is the judicial system, if there is discrimination in sentencing it is caused by those who represent the institution, and when it seems to be widespread, its pretty safe to say maybe this is a systemic issue and not a few bad DA's... Are you so niave that you need a written law saying blacks get x times greater sentences to point to a problem that needs to be addressed?

3. The first study i posted accounted for the types of counsel the defendants had. Show me the class based stats that debunk that racial predjudices occur
