Should i get wisdom teeth removed(reps)

my bottom one are bony impacted. It's also sideways. its gonna cost me $500 they are gonna do it with full anesthesia.

I have some big cavity in the bottom that also needs to get a root canal so they want me to do the wisdom teeth removal first. So, should I do it? I don't want it to be unneseccary.
I don't check my CP, IDC about reps/negs

I don't know if it is true, but i had several teeth removed including my wisdom teeth. I have an extremely narrow jaw and weak/receced chin.

I look at pics of when i was young and i looked like brad pit had such a wider and more potruded jaw. My parents thought they were doing the right thing but i think they dun goof

get a 2nd opinion if you don't trust your dentist. some people absolutely need to have them removed and dumbfuks on this website who have never seen your xrays can't make that decision for you

get cavities repaired asap because, speaking from experience, they do nothing but become more expensive the longer you let them go. a couple hundred dollar cavity turns into a $1000 root canal and a $1000 crown real quick. direct nerve pain with every breath is not something you want to experience, and that's what you'll get if you allow the cavity to get infected. add another week of suffering with endless pain while ruining your body with antibiotics if you let it erupt, because they won't do a root canal if there's an active infection.

If they are impacted, yes.

I would take out the teeth that have already grown and are visible outside the gums. The ones that are still inside the gums are a little riskier because they are connected to nerves.

In for answers. Mine are impacted too. Completely sideways under the gums on the bottom, but they’ve caused me zero pain in the 2 years since this was discovered, so I haven’t gone through with extraction. No regrets so far.

Same here. My boss' significant other is from Italy and the topic of wisdom teeth removal came up. They apparently don't do it over there. I asked her what the implications were for people who never even gave wisdom teeth removal a thought and she just bertstared me. It's not a thing anywhere else, why is it in the States?

Mine were hurting off and on. Chit would KILL.

Got them removed (I only had 2, not 4 like you un-evolved cavemen) pain was never again.

The pain of getting them removed was a 1/10. I have zero regrets. Glad I did it.

the thing is bros

the reason they want to remove mine is because i have a giant cavity next to it that needs a root canal and they are seeing i can't do that if i don't remove wisdom teeth

that guy peddling leaving them for jaw shape is an idiot, that's not going to make a difference unless you have full fukin dentures. that resorption happens when you have multiple extractions near each other that never get replaced by implants or bridges

further reinforces my opinion to get it done. even not knowing that the wisdom teeth were preventing root canal treatment, getting them out sounds important. it's even more important knowing that it's preventing you from fixing the root canal tooth. i can promise you, sitting around on pain meds, waiting not only for an appointment for a root canal, but also for a wisdom tooth extraction appointment when that root canal tooth gets infected is going to be absolutely fukin miserable

ya but im still worried about losing my jaw aesthetics im gonnna talk to them tomorrow to see what they say about this and confirm if i actually need it removed

Take those fukkers out, they just push against your other teeth and make them twist, create another cranny that catches crap and is a pain to clean, if they don't come out they may also raise the tissue above them so you chew against soft skin, etc ... only downsides about having them

I had all 4 yanked out all at once, the surgery didn't even take long and I didn't take a single pill of the prescribed painkillers afterwards. The pain thing is blown way out of proportion.

Definitely do it. At that price it's a steal unless it's being done in Nicaragua or some ****.

Bottom line is your teeth are important and should be as well cared for as any other part of your body. As a physician I see people all day with dental abscesses and terrible dentition and it's a huge issue for them health-wise, financially, socially, you name it. Take care of your teeth. /PSA

I wouldn't want to be a beta jawed wisdom toothcel either, but it sounds like you are kind of out of options if two dentists independently told you they need to come out to deal with the cavity. Going to end up with a giant abscess and a hole in your face as the above brah mentioned.

i'm waiting on a dental implant on one of my front teeth to heal right now, turns out it was infected and i didn't know cause it wasn't symptomatic. lemme tell you the day that tooth came out, my sinus problems stopped. was producing insane amounts of mucus overnight, clogging everything up as i slept, felt like i was sick every morning.. gone. just because of that stupid tooth. wasn't even from poor care, i had internal root resorption because i got bopped in the face by a pallet at work over a year ago

it's insane how much poor dental hygiene affects your entire body

Back when I was a teen, my braces had just came off and my dentist said he recommended getting my wisdom teeth removed because they would grow in a few years and cause me tremendous pain.

Fast forward 14 years and my teeth have grown in slightly but no pain whatsoever.

Now I don't trust dentists.

Had 3/4 removed last year. Just had topical numbing, no gas, didn’t feel a thing.

Didn’t take anything other than ibuprofen after, no pain.

It’s more about the bleeding for first 24hrs than anything, 2 weeks later it’s sealed up and clear to eat anything as long as you’re not being dumb.

Fuk I know this feel. I went to the dentist for the first time in almost 10 years. Turns out that sharp pain i have when drinking cold water isn't just due to sensetive teeth. Got a root canal last week. But at least it didn't hurt as much as i thought it would. Only painful part was the bill. Das not it mane. Take care of your teeth bros.
