North Carolina brahs, where should I stay and what to check out?

The old lady and I are thinking of heading to North Carolina for a short getaway this upcoming weekend. Where would you guys recommend we stay and what are some things we should do/check out when there? Also, are your gyms open or are you guys still shut down?

Pretty sure most gyms are closed. Mine are. I’d go to the mountains. Asheville is cool but full of hippies and homeless people. Blowing rock is my favorite mountain town here. Go hiking. Get away from people.

Hendersonville and Boone are cool. Past spring I went to Lake Lure/Chimney Rock/Batcave area for the first time in like 25 years. Really cool area.

Only beach I’ve ever been to out here is around Wilmington. I’d just dip down to SC and hit up those instead.
