Someone posted a similar thread a couple weeks ago -- here is my input:
Few things I've learned (am 33):
-Nobody is going to "save you" or tell you what to do. Nobody can fix your life except you.
-You can make a TON of progress in anything in a couple of years (career, health, relationships, etc.)
-Life can change a TON (both positively and negatively) in the blink of an eye, almost at random
-Showing up / getting started is 50% of the battle
-Consistency is key in just about anything
-Positive mindset (even when you don't feel like it) is really helpful and powerful
-Surrounding yourself with productive, successful people is important (you're a product of who you hang out with)
Few things I've learned (am 33):
-Nobody is going to "save you" or tell you what to do. Nobody can fix your life except you.
-You can make a TON of progress in anything in a couple of years (career, health, relationships, etc.)
-Life can change a TON (both positively and negatively) in the blink of an eye, almost at random
-Showing up / getting started is 50% of the battle

Lotta solid posts in here already. And it may be cliche' but the easiest way to think about it is "Plan as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die tomorrow."
- 27 is young enough to still start and achieve almost anything. Don't wait if you already know what that thing is.
- Spend and Enjoy as much time as possible making yourself happy. Especially include those people you love and care about the most, be it friends or family.
- Make sure everything you do today, you will be happy about tomorrow. From investments to partying.
No one takes anything with them, you can build an empire and it will one day be dust. But dying knowing you gave it everything you had and lived exactly how you wanted can never be taken from you.
- 27 is young enough to still start and achieve almost anything. Don't wait if you already know what that thing is.
- Spend and Enjoy as much time as possible making yourself happy. Especially include those people you love and care about the most, be it friends or family.
- Make sure everything you do today, you will be happy about tomorrow. From investments to partying.

Oh man, i'm turning 27 in a couple weeks too. Time moves faster the older you get. I still remember posting in teenmisc way back in the day. At this age we still have several strong years to make **** happen. I keep reminding myself to take bigger risks. We can lose everything we have right now and still bounce back up. That gets harder after 30.

I'm 28 and let me tell you don't trust a sloot when it comes to birth control I have seen a lot of dreams got destroyed and freedom got taken away because of unwanted pregnancy.
