If I can give any advice to people who are wanting to get married in the future is find someone that you don't have to change who you are to be with.

Ie if you act completely different around your friends than you would your spouse. If you gotta hide your true self it wont work, resentment will build up over time.

I honestly think the reason it was so hard to find my current spouse was because I legit cannot pretend to be something I'm not around people. Most people dudes find me weird.

Took a very special person to actually deal with that.

Sadly its, people will hide who they are to be with someone because that other person has qualities that are likable and you dont want to pass that up. It may not seem like a big deal until you are well into your marriage.

IMO its on the level of disagreeing about children or religion.
