tough one.
honestly, Russia got their chit kicked in. The casualty rate for Russian soldiers was astronomical and the Nazis got within one stop from taking Moscow. They did this while still holding down the fort in western europe AND north africa.
imo theres no way russia stops the nazis in a full 1v1 scenario.
UK? fuking lol. only reason they werent folded in the matter of days was because Germany had the bulk of its land forces in Russia.
USA? probably the only true contender. The 1v1’d Japan despite having a large portion of their navy destroyed in one fell swoop, despite having to island hop across the entire pacific ocean, despite facing a seasoned force that already obliterated China, and despite also fighting in the western front.
USA vs Germany in a true 1v1 battle in western europe would have been very interesting. Id say the US would take it eventually as they would easily have the superior navy and could resupply endlessly. it would be a closer battle IF we give the UK to Germany and they can launch from the UK to attack mainland America

I think Russia or the USA could have easily beaten Germany in WW2.
Russia has a harsh landscape and I doubt the Germans would have been able to make a push into the country without suffering heavy casualties. Russia on it's home turf is notoriously hard to beat, and many have failed. I don't know much on Russia, but it would be tough. There was a belief that Russia could have beaten Germany without the USA's help.
USA kind of has the same thing. They have two long coast lines, a huge naval force, and natural borders from Mexico and Canada. Germany would have a hard time pushing into the country without being hampered. They would have had to fought a multiple front war, which would have been hard due to their resources. They'd have to travel essentially around Canada or South America to get through. We likely would have blown up the Panama Canal to prevent easy passage around the US. Couple that with the built in highways/railroads, the US would have vastly superior supply chains to fight the Germans on any front. Couple that with Major naval bases on both Coasts (San Fran and Norfolk), USA would dominate any battle on their land.
You might be able to throw Japan in there too based on it's natural defenses, but I think Germany could have bombed them into submission.
If you switched it over to the USA fighting Germany on their home turf, I still think the USA would win based on their supply chains, and ability to deploy and attack from either direction on Germany.

No one could have it is pretty obvious. Of course ppl are biased on here so they will say America, Russia etc... But read the history books objectively and it's pretty clear Germany could have beaten any country 1on1

Only area where they got mogged was with their navy. The British did have a superior navy.
Apart from that, they mogged all in nearly every area.
Serious propaganda taught in the US about both World Wars.

Russia would have won because you need to factor in the winter wars and how demoralizing and severe battles would be.
Plus US #1. If we would have let Patton do more and not force him to sit and wait, the war would have been finished sooner.
Lol at saying the sudoku bayonets. How will their navy even reach Germany? That was their only pro when they attacked Pearl Harbor

USA cucks in their delusional world as usual. None of you have any idea what's its like being part of a country that has had real wars and not bullied some middle Eastern **** hole and call it a war.
Learn history outside of USA to get some truth, you wouldn't have stood a chance against Germany. France and UK were just as powerful militarily as USA at the time. Germany transformed into a pure war machine.
As for saving the UK, you came last minute when the allies already had the upper hand and claimed victory, just lol, cuckery at its highest.

I don’t think the question makes sense. If we were to play this out it would be Germany before they started invading Poland, etc. v. another nation. The nature of the war was that both Germany and Japan had to start taking over other nations and resources -fast- to ever have a chance and in doing so turned the rest of the world against them.
Germany as it existed before war started would have easily been defeated by the USA if for no other reason than our huge pool of natural resources.

All allied countries could tbh because Germany was very weak and merely used trickery and world politics to get others to do their work for them.

The German approach to the war was successful for invading countries like Poland and France but that strategy was never going to outlast the industrial power of the UK and US.
The inherent flaw in Germany's blitzkrieg tactic was overextending the supply chain and they failed to change tactics or scale production. That's probably the number 1 reason they lost the war... In addition to Hitler becoming unhinged
Towards the end of the war German tank divisions were abandoning their tanks because they couldn't refuel or repair due to lack of supplies

You guys are forgetting Germany never fought alone. Millions of Italians, Finns, Hungarians, Romanians, etc fought with them. When germany invaded the ussr, people in the baltics, ukraine, caucasus muslims etc all welcomed them as saviors from communist oppression. When germany invaded yugoslavia, half the country (basically everyone but the serbs) cheered and threw flowers at them. Same thing in Norway. It's not as if it was germany vs everybody else.
The USSR basically fought the combined armies of germany, finland, italy, hungary, romania, plus soviet traitors, and still won, and the ussr also had a hostile japan on its southern borders (manchukuo) so they were unable to send their entire army to fight the germans.
