Happy friday thread...Need some nutrition advice.

Happy friday brahs, I need some nutrition advice. I've been in the process of getting dental work done over the past couple of weeks, and it's going to complete next Thursday. As a result of this I probably wont be eating any solid foods for a while. I've done research and all I keep finding is "mashed potato", "smoothies", "yogurt" etc. That's all fine and dandy, but it's really not going to cut the mustard. Can you guys give me some more nutrient dense alternatives? Otherwise I'm going to be on faminecel mode and everyone is going to think I'm sick or something.

Anywho...Tomorrow I'm taking my wife car shopping. She found a car she liked around 60 miles away, so we're going to take a little drive and take a look at it. Then back home to take the animals to the vet for shots, and flea treatments. One of our cats got out and sl00ted around with a feral Tom and brought back fleas for the entire lot. Then at night we're gonna go have dinner. It's going to be a long day, but should be nice. Whatever you guys are doing, be safe, have fun, wear your fuking mask, and kick back a couple for ya boy.

Lentil soups, there are tons of tons of recipes. There are even different type of lentils with different taste. And you can also make a lot of sauces/soups with different types of beans, chickpeas, green peas, etc. Just eat it all with a spoon.

My friend broke his jaw and we used to feed him everything. Blended up pancakes with syrup, bugers, fries, etc. It wasn't that bad and we tried what we were feeding him. You could make a huge pot of loaded baked potato soup and that could hold you over for a few days.

It's just something about blending up meat that seems wrong. Don't get me wrong I love eating it, but drinking it just seems off. I am going to invest in soups...Not a huge soup guy, but I gotta do, what I gotta do.

When you think about it though, you could just make a nice soft Meatloaf and then blend that up. It's pretty much at that point a couple of chews past a soft meat loaf or meat sauce. I wouldn't do anything other than ground beef though, steak, chicken, pork, and fish would be kinda fukkin weird.

I've been reading that ground beef is a go-to because you can pretty much just swallow it. BRB going to sous vide my 10 oz ny strip, reverse sear and the blend it up.

I use these two recipes here and there for meal replacements

Buy 2 containers of a quality protein, 1 chocolate and 1 vanilla.

Calorie dense: 1-2 scoops chocolate protein, 1-2tbsp peanut butter, 1-2 cups milk (use whatever one to help hit macros), 1-2 bananas and 1tsp honey.

Lean and micros: 1-2 scoops vanilla protein, 1 cup blackberries, large handful spinach, 1 cup pineapple, 1tsp honey and 1/2 Greek yogurt

First one will land you easily around 1k calories(even higher if you double) and second is maybe half that.
I probably banged your mom.

Eat the whole animal like a real man.

Sure man NP. Forgot to say add ice to all and about 1 cup water to second. Good luck on the dental work.

I am doing an implant now and had an extraction done last Christmas, but the worst for me was getting two wisdom teeth out at the same time - one on each side.

All I really did is prepare casseroles, like chicken broccoli rice, but cut the chicken and broccoli into really small pieces. You'll learn to chew super carefully. I'm actually against the 'pureed' route because the particles were more likely to get caught in my stitches near the wound.

Good luck bro.

Thanks brah. I've been cutting my food into small pieces and chewing carefully. Gone are the days of the 5 minute dinner...I'll have to eat like a sophisticated human from now on. After these are gone they're going to fit me with a partial, and then we'll explore implant options in the future. Chits expensive...Wish I would have taken better care of my teeth.

Scrambled eggs. You can surely mash them between your tongue and roof of your mouth enough to swallow.

You can make some pretty delicious blended soups with beans, pulses etc. Decent protein and really filling. Add any other veg or whatever for variety/micros/fibre. You can stir egg through them which will cook into strands before you blend it make them a bit more substantial

Oats/proats, if you add chia seeds or other seeds that are small enough to swallow then you get some extra nutrition in there, can add yogurt for creaminess/protein/fat

Refried beans... because they're awesome

Make your own hummus (is actually delicious), just tahini, fava beans, some spices (paprika, salt, pepper, maybe a bit of mustard), honestly can eat this on its own

Cheesy mash, can combine with egg to make a kindof fried mash cake. Might require more chewing though so your call

Obvious one, protein shakes with things like milk, peanut butter etc for some nutrient variety

Oh and one last note on meat, slow cook stews for a long LONG time on simmer and everything basically falls apart into a pretty easily slurpable form, once meat is practically dissolving you can also blend. Don't do it before that as may still be too stringy
Somehow still managing to avoid getting 'too big'
