Still better than having a hobby of drinking beer and watching netflix. I can't say I agree with this narrative, most dudes I know that are serious BBers and PLers do it because they are genuinely obsessed and enjoy being in the gym and the proccess, the gear is just a tool to progress past a certain point. Not saying that there arent dudes pinning to try to make up for some thing lacking, but those types seem to run a few cycles and quit because it was never actually thier passion.

Don't post it then, there's no point if it doesn't even prove that it's you otherwise it's just going to be round two of frauding. I find it hilarious though, how you suck up to all these other lifters just to make it seem like you're not the hypocrite here

^ I did 5-6 reps of 225 after 9-10 months of lifting

I am not going to argue if you want to be in the gym 6 days a week, go for it, but its probably not as optimal with push pull legs as 2 days off a week.

Things like DC training you are advised by Dante to take 3 days off a week, and thats for advanced geared lifters.
heed this man's words misc, biggest guy in the thread dropping knowledge. Everytime I make a controversial point, the people that actually look like they lift agree with me, yet the little twins benching 225 for a single start throwing their handbags around.

Pre covid, about 11 months. This months end will pretty much make it one year of training but the physique I posted was like 4-5 months without lifting in that other thread I created and just started lifting for a full month again, also as stated, I don't bench anymore, just do general incline DB press

instagram is Br0genics, check it out if you want my full lifting story but other then that, I got nothing else to show cause i got fuk all to hide

The gym becomes a form of cope like everything else at some point.

Though I'll have to say that spending 6 days a week there is no problem, if you train with the kind of intensity (ie like a wet paper towel) that alot of guys do. This is the reason why after years of doing this they still look like chit. Kind of embarrasing though and makes you wonder why some of these people actually brag about their lifting endeavours lol.

Alright this thread went full cringe. There's no need to talk about personal e-peen stats.

Idc if someone wants to gym every day, go for it, but I stand by with the notion there's far more to life in the way of hobbies.

Arguably, watching a movie, misc'ing for 2 hours is more productive than lifting for the 6-7th time..

If you want a perfect example look at the guy(no hate) ITT that claimed to lift 7 days per week.

Bro would be the same physique wise with half the time spent.

Personally I'd rather go fishing for bass with some beer.

What works for geared lifters =/= what is effective for natty brahs.

I like switching the focus of Day 1 & Day 2. Apply that to your push and pull days too

Man, you know there are a myriad of reasons why what works and is effective for a brah on gear (or needs to be done "because gear") won't be the best course of action for a natty.

As two brahs on the sauce, we have to be able to admit that.

Would say that's a hard claim to make without understanding his lifestyle.

But also having a structure in your life is important for more than just physique. It could be possible that he very much enjoys his structure, and it adds benefit to his life by causing structure to be maintained.

The question was "Why do brahs do it?" Not why they shouldn't do it, right?

I mean again, if the person enjoys it though...otherwise I sort of agree.

We have a lot of trails out here I really like to just go on real long walks (which my the standards we're using here would be a real "waste of time") and listen to podcasts or audiobooks.

The main one being that it allows you to recover quicker.

like MNGA1 above said, if you are actually producing the most optimal mechanical tension to load and stimulate the muscle to grow the most, you cant do that 6 days a week without overworking yourself to the point it will hinder gains. Likely, if someone can hit the gym 6 days a week they are not really pushing themselves and their progressive overload hard enough to make optimal growth.

I have taken many guys to the gym and shown them hitting 6 hard sets for a muscle group will leave you feeling more sore for the 2 days after than their normal 15 sets of what they thought was intense.

Once you reach a certain level of intensity, and by that i mean actually knowing what failure is with heavy ass weight, and stick with it, your body will feel ****ed most of the time.

But like I said, thats personal choice. If you want to be in there 6-7 days a week, thats your choice, but you are either likely sacrificing intensity or recovery for optimal growth by doing that.

Instagram brogenics?

Bro, do u not cringe when u meet a girl, or even a guy, and they ask for your IG and you have to say aloud "brogenics", lmao. Come on son.

Your entire IG is shirtless gym selfies, I don't think you are aesthetic enough to post that **** on Instagram. As Ken-O said a few pages back it is very cringe when you're showing off mediocrity.

lmao I don't get it. If I trained 6 days a week I'd be burnt out. They must be some ****ty workouts with little intensity.

I mean, but then you also have to weigh in the following question;

If you're training to the point in which your body now feels fukked most of the time, isn't that an even bigger commitment than spending 45-60 minutes in the gym, getting a decent workout in which you progress to the same point eventually? Especially when you take into account energy balance, and feeling like you're able to still do other physical activities you might enjoy post workout.

I somewhat disagree with your take on optimal training but I think it's a matter of goals, etc, that creates your "optimal" training for your lifestyle if that makes sense.

Because I want to also be able to go skate, box, and BJJ. Usually I'm doing those pretty immediately after a workout.

You might make some sacrifices to gainz, but I think that they aren't as big as sacrificing everything for the gym, if that makes sense.

I need to get in on audio books, my instinctive go to is music.

Wish more Americans would take up walking.. just got a text from a she-friend who's a bit heavy, saying she's down 35lbs already from morning walks this year.

I'm not saying these types of guys don't exist. I've been around long enough to recognize them when I see them. The one thing they usually all have in common is that they have naturally big frames to begin with. You can just tell these guys were bigger and stronger than average before they ever started lifting. It makes sense that they would gravitate towards a hobby that they're naturally gifted at. These guys are a tiny fraction though.

thats why I said its your personal choice and comes at the cost of probably not building mass as quickly, which is why i include the word optimal.

Also with intensity you can do less sets and spend less time in the gym, like Mentzer, Yates, and many current pros, they only spend about an hour actually lifting in the gym. They may spend more time stretching and doing cardio, but the actual lifting portion only needs to be 4-5 days a week for 1 hr. That doesnt mean lifting for 2 hours is worse, some people like longer breaks and theres evidence to show 2-5 min between sets doesnt really change anything.

Exactly--it also keeps people from completely falling off the boat too. I know I need some sort of self-structure otherwise I just start doing dumb chit re: diet and training.

It doesI mean, I think there's something to be said about programming properly for sure. Personally, I tend to do 5-6 days just because it helps me stay on track, but also because it's very helpful to schedule it in such a way that allows me to focus on different aspects of each muscle group each session. It makes the process a bit more enjoyable for me.

404 chit is ghey. I have noticed sometimes reducing the text helps. Other times, yeah, complete restart of browsers.

Honestly could care less hence why I still post pictures of my physique cause im happy with where I'm at with the amount of time I put in and yeah Ken has a solid point but im not doing it to show off because I don't have anything to brag about hence why I don't try and plug my instagram everywhere I go and also I couldn't give two fuks about giving my instagram to chicks cause it's not what my focus is on right now. Career and lifting, nothing more and nothing less.

Focus on yourself mate and who knows, you might actually have the courage to actually show yourself and not hide behind another instagram users pics and claim its you which is the real sad thing here but you've been on my dik for about three days straight now which means you're hating for a reason behind jealousy through different accounts which im alwaya laughing about. You put too much effort into other people and none in yourself and when your arguments don't have any justification and get contradicted, you hop on to another person's statement ITT like the hypocrite you are. I mean all an actual smart person needs to do is read through all the bullchit of the 6 pages in this thread and figure it out for themselves

Tried giving you the benefit of the doubt and seeing things in your perspective but you're just after validation from other people to prove that you're not the hypocrite that you really were alreasy oughted to be

So im curious what's next mate? already called me out, called out Jk202, tried getting me banned, got oughted by Kaiwise for frauding and called us out yet again. Whats the plan here other then you still trying to make blank statements without any proof to back yourself, not other people's statements but your own because I already know they lift since I've been around here for abit and got to know them.
if you need someone to chat with, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.

I mean lifting 4-5 hours with a hour session in the gym comes out to 4-5 days... I'd say a 5 day split of PPL/UL is fairly standard. And a six day PPL split is really not so far off, right? I was to the impression that you were in support of extreme 3-4 day routines that cause you to feel like crapola for at least a day post session. I read your entire post wrong...

Honestly anywhere between 4-6 days seems about right tbh

Nah, people agreeing with me means I'm right.

And you're gonna end up unhappy just focusing on lifting and work. Sounds like cope. Social life is important.

Nah mate they're agreeing on the points you stated by backpedalling on others. yeah social life is important and I get it directly from my current job. I moved houses for work and I work about 60 hours a week, on my days off I visit my family. Club scene was never my thing for personal likings so I dont go out because the suburb where im at is filled with druggies and bikies, already deal with them enough at work

So what's your point here mate? Where else would I be able to be *social* from? Want me to start fuking ice addicts around here again, is that social for you? Lmfao

Life's put me where im at rn and some days its **** but im not going to be bitching that its not fair, cards im dealt with and im dealing with it. Not through drugs or alcohol but by lifting, its my solitude from the bull**** of life.

I've really been enjoying a lower volume/higher intensity approach myself the past 8-9 months or so. Usually around 10-12 working sets (2-4 compound lifts @ 2 sets each + accessories) and very rarely exceed 75 minutes including warmup time (which is 10-15 minutes on it's own before I get to my first work set).

Already done all that, tried the girl thing, her mother got cancer and went back to her country so that put me off abit. Mates from work dont go out when I do because we are on different shifts since im contracted to this club so I cant deviate.

Look Im open to change if you rhink I should change my program then by all means im open to advice, Ill admit it, im not experienced, not a professional but so far this has been working for me, mentally and physically. Reason I do 6 days is because after work, I gk to the gym behind my club for 45 to 50 minutes, go home, game abit and go to bed.
