They take risk, use massive leverage, and collect assets to capture the output of wagecels. They worry about top line revenue 350x more than personal expenses.

Well yeah. But 99% of wealthy people aren't morons. Most of Ramsey's listeners are struggling to wrap their head around the basics. He's not trying to get them wealthy. He's trying to make sure they aren't getting their car repossessed and living on the street eventually.

Yeah but those people aren’t his target audience, he’s more geared towards regular earners who can use discipline to gradually build up seven-figure retirement accounts by the time they’re 60+

Even that’s pretty unusual, much less being a high earner with a diverse asset portfolio etc. Those people don’t need a Dave Ramsey, they need a good tax-focused CPA

well his target audience are people who think credit cards are free money and/or have no idea what interest is'

Some of his advice is not bad, like buying a used car, but his crazy anti-credit card mentality is really just catering to the people I've mentioned above. I can't even remember the last time I used cash to buy anything.

You can't do that when you have 80k debt and make 50k.

His plan to get out of debt is the best out there. I used it. paid off 20k in one year. Debt free

Now his investing ideas are horrible. He's stuck in his mutual fund madness.

He does have one thing right though. Debt is slavery. Even if you become wealthy through utilizing leverage, your eventual best bet is to pay off everything. Too many people over-leverage which is why you see a lot of them file for bankruptcy. Don't be cash flow reliant forever.

But Catbrah is the last person to call Ramsey callers morons. Dude is the worst person with money on this forum lmao

Dave's anti credit card approach is for 90 percent of people who have bad habits, and call in with their weird scenario with money(bought a 400k boat in South Dakota, how do we get out of debt Dave?)

Even his site, there's a paragraph that says if you use your credit card and you're on point, you're part of that small group of people who gonna be alright

He actually groups mortgage debt in with all other debt. "Hey Dave I'm 500k in debt- $490k on my home and $10k on a car"

"You're a reckless idiot to have that much debt"

Brb, ignore the fact that your home is different bc it's the only asset you buy with debt that appreciates in value

Brb, ignore the fact you'd be spending the same money on rent otherwise
