Ham radio is ghey

Can we all agree on this fact? I see lots of forums online touting the benefits of ham radio
https://www.ar15.com/forums/General/...eps/5-2349898/
But it is really a bunch of assburger doomer boomers going to ham conventions and smell of old spice and rotting human flesh.

Fair enough. I just remember the baofeng craze a half year ago when fcc banned them because they exposed "prohibited" frequency transmission and then lots of hawaiian shirt guys saw chaz/chop bitches using baofengs so they feel the need to flex their fcc registration callsign bullchit online while claiming registration leads to confiscation don't tread on me boomer meme chit gnome saiyan

Boomers are the only ones interested in gatekeeping Ham radios. In general Gen X onward, who are the ones primarily buying Baofengs, don't give a **** who uses it.

There are advantages to being able to talk to people when cell service goes down. I use mine to listen to fire/ems dispatch...sometimes you hear some pretty interesting stuff.

I once heard 2 women talking about kid shoes and i told them to get in the kitchen and make me a sammich. I felt like a true king that day. No other day have i ever felt like anything other than an autistic retard while holding a baofeng.

The uv5r was capable of transmitting on frequencies outside the allowed frequency ranges and could also transmit on FRS with 5 watt power and was not part 90 compliant. So the baofengs now are neutered.
