Outside of the gym, are you usually the biggest guy wherever you go?

Gyms are filled with pro bodybuilders and juicers, so sometimes you might feel small.

Today I went to the shops and was honestly shocked at how tiny some people are. I was waiting in line and the guy in front of me had the tiniest shoulders I have ever seen. And the cashier who served me was wearing a tight red shirt and it looked like he never did one bicep curl hes entire life

I’m Always in the best shape in my social circles but sometimes that can lead to me being somewhat compalcement, if I was hanging around with guys more jacked than me I’d be more competitive about wanting to be bigger and leaner than them. All my mates are just skinny/skinnyfat so it’s not hard to be jacked in their eyes

Irl there’s the a decent number of skinny guys with abs, and a few well built, big rugby player type guys with high teens bf %.

What’s really rare is seeing someone who’s simultaneously big and lean

Usually. People always comment on the physique and I get asked stupid irrelevant questions by non-lifters often. Number one question non-lifters have is always about supplements. Then it’s pretty easy to see why they don’t lift... its “hard” and they want a magical shortcut instead.

But I have an average frame (6ft, wear L/XL shirts) so if it wasn’t for trap and forearm development I’d probably look like an average guy in normal clothes who just stays “in shape”. Such is natty life.

It blows my mind how some people are so weak. During periods of time I didnt lift I still looked bigger and was definitely stronger than fellow untrained people. Anyway yes, the most any friend of mine does is cardio + push ups

This. You'd be shocked what your average person would consider 'muscular.' brb a dude who has never picked up a weight in his life but has a vein in his bicep and is naturally 10%bf = 'jacked.'

Meanwhile, a bloatload next to him that has been lifting for 10 years but hovers around 20%bf won't get the same reaction.
