I am 190-195 at 6'3, more lanky than big, poverty avi by misc standards. At my LA Fitness in terms of size/strength am probably in the bottom half in terms of size from those lifting lmao

That said, when in public I RARELY see someone bigger than me or who I would be intimidated by. Even in areas with more athletic people, like rec sports leagues, I am generally the biggest or one of the biggest with no one having much more size. At bars, when shopping, etc. am generally the biggest or near it. At my office of ~1000 people I am one of the 2 to 3 biggest guys (tech company, a lot of soy) and have been called jacked by coworkers. At bars or in public have been called by strangers:

- Super Man/Clark Kent
- Aquaman lol
- 'girls must like you, big and strong'
- 'bodybuilder'
- 'you're a big guy'
- Gaston
- 'you have huge pecs'

More a reflection of the sorry state of men in society than myself, but super easy to stand out

Depends on how you define "Big" ....At 6'6" 250 & under 15% bf, I definitely draw attention.

I always get asked if I play sports or if I'm military.

Tons of dudes on the sauce at the gym though, working towards getting a home gym setup.

Where you live bro? I'm pretty well traveled and am the biggest in 90% of areas. Geography below:

- America Midwest - full of fat people with boring lives, nothing to do but drink and watch sports

- South - even fatter people based on fried foods. You might not be bigger as in 'weigh more' than these people but make no mistake you are noticeably more muscular and intimidating

- Southwest - average height for hispanics is like 5'7, once again most people are tiny.

- Pacific North West - less fat people because of hiking /outdoors culture. More dad bods from soy diets and craft beer

- Europe - less fat lards than America, so people look like they give a damn. But not a huge lifting culture

- Asia - self explanatory. Combination of short genes and lack of lifting culture. Not only will you be the biggest but people will take pics with you

EXCEPTIONS where the above isnt true and you might not stand out in public:

- New York City / LA / Miami - Cities that attract either the most ambitious people or have a massive beach culture, promoting physical health year round. Most people under 40 in these cities care about their looks to some degree, doesnt mean they lift - but being fit is a status symbol

- Active cities such as Denver - less lifting, but almost EVERYONE does something so you see all kinds of fit bodies when out

- Countries with big people - Germany, Nordic countries, etc. Avg height is like 6' srs

Yes but it has nothing to do with lifting. Height + clavicle width.

The irony about lifting is that what makes you look like a lifter in pictures does nothing about in person size. In person size is all about the yoke. The bro split guy who looks defined in pictures will get mogged in person by a guy with big yoke.

I was, people would comment all the time when I was out.

Now I'm older and trtnatty, not so much. But that's life, son. The most I get now is people asking me if I'm a tradie or work security which fills me with disgust.

yeah. I’m in the exceptions

most people here see jacked men every now and then. so it’s nothing special unless your 6’6+ 300lb+ and lean

I never tell people I lift for this reason. standards are too high for what is considered in shape

Vertically? Nah

In terms of muscle? Most of the time. But that's also because most people I know don't really enjoy working out. I have a few friends that are absolutely MEAT MONSTERS though.

In my head, I am still 6'0 140 lbs forever.

But when I am in public with a group I will always get random remarks from people that I am muscular. It kinda temporarily kicks me out of the ridiculous body dismorphia state of mind I have.

I am currently 6'0" around 215 lbs

At the gym I’m normal. Friends just drink/smoke a lot and eat a lot of chit

If you're 5'8 200 pounds at that body fat that is a good amount of size. Absolute diesel on the kick ball field.

nah I only got 2 at bats and i tried to put it in a hole in the shallow outfield but i lifted it too much. can't kick worth a **** but love playing in the field since I used to return punts in football and being in centerfield is basically the same thing.

been training since 2008 and still feel like a lil man

i remember once after a heavy gym session and i was all pumped up my friend david said to me i look massive, ready to kill people. ( I was bloated as fk though)

its good and bad. its good because people will be less likely to start crap or pick fights with you. But you can come off as intimidating

This but you also have to be big and lean or else you'll just look like your average marathon runner.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. I understand your point. Most of my friends say I look bulky, big, massive etc. And theres days where I feel my goal of being big is achieved. But I still push to get bigger
