His presence on the property was questionable but afaik he never stole anything. I don't think you could call it breaking and entering considering it was an open house that was under construction, and he was also not the only person to have a look inside that day either.

Given the context of previous thefts in the area I don't think the McMichaels were wrong for being suspicious about him, but how they went about dealing with the situation was complete potato.

Hes mistaken. The code would have been a burglary of a dwelling. Not breaking and entering.

Remove race from it. The case is legally interesting and will be watching. Everyone involved was doing something legal per state law. I cant see a conviction with the high bar and politics already set.
