It's just that he was mostly a middleweight and most people on care about the big guys. (Though he accomplished a lot in the higher weight classes as well.)

RJJ is opening as a slight favorite (as he should be)

RJJ last pro fight - 2 years ago (not the greatest competition)
Tysons last pro fight - 15 years ago (not the greatest competition, and he quit on the stool)

RJJ did start to suffer from glass jaw syndrome after the Tarver fight.
Hopefully they don't embarrass themselves, both guys will be looking for a win.

Can’t fuking wait. Roy would’ve probably outclassed Mike 15 years ago. After the Lewis fight, Mike was a washed up, bloated shell of his former self. Still powerful, but he let go of his skills. Roy was still a killer, athletic af with a Mensa level ring IQ.

Today I’m all in on Mike Tyson. He’s clearly been training his ass off. He’s more dedicated than he’s been since the 90s. Roy is naturally gifted, sure, but he stayed in the same too long and I think that extra shop wear will hurt him. Especially since they’ll be at heavyweight.

Also, I’m so glad Mike turned down that chitty bare knuckle league. I watched the Paulie-Artem card. Those fights just turn into messy onslaughts that leave guys with long term more damage and nothing to show for it. Either box, get in the cage or GTFO.
