I am disappointed
I have never owned a psx and have never liked psx .im a huge xbox fan but this game looks like an xbox one game.
Not impressed in the least. Even for a launch title it looks sub par

I've never been much into Halo, TBH. I played Halo 3 alot back in the day, but that was only because most of my buddy's were on it. That being said, the Halo soundtracks are usually badass.

haven't seen it but to be fair a lot of early titles might not be maxed out as the developers cater to multi-platform. so, they're still making games for ps4 and xbox one early on

Does not look next gen.

That sure seemed like the most boring section of gameplay they could have shown us. Just...wading through while scripted small groups of enemies confront you. I'm playing through Halo 3 campaign again now and the enemies seems a lot more numerous, smarter, organized, purposeful. Like every encounter has purpose, not just empty ai waiting for you. Is it just going to be plain event after plain event? Or will there be big setpieces that make use of the wide open world? I understand not wanting to spoil the game but that was about the most boring way to show off your game possible.
That brute talking to you at the end looked like straight garbage.

They retained the halo aesthetic IMO. Looks good in 4k, but the shading is not impressive. The frame rate looks good. Looks like there's a trade off being made to maintain the frame rate at that resolution.

I'm not really impressed by flashy graphics anymore. This does not look like it takes the series in a new direction and the combat looks about as bland as ever (grappling hook......). I think I'm getting everything I want out of MCC without anticipating shifting to a new game and spending $60

Game looks embarrassingly bad. Saying it looks like an Xbox1 game is very generous.

jfl @ the gun models what the phuck, how long have these guys been working on this chit? looks really half-assed, the lack of detail is kind of embarrassing
the shooting feels weak af, no oomph behind the shots, they should play doom eternal or rage 2 to get the feel right, couldn't even bother to animate the lift button push, is this like pre-alpha?

Focus on what the trailer represents:
- classic aesthetic (everything needs more dirt, scratches, & dents though)
- classic map design
- back on a Halo ring
- Halo tropes (complete or kill 3 _______)
- brutes and Covenant back as the enemy (no Prometheans)
- better AI (brutes rushing a la Halo 2, grunts suiciding aggressively)
- REASONABLE advanced movement mechanics: slide but it's a short distance, sprint but it's not too fast, clamber is still in, grapple added. No jetpacks or groundpound. No armor abilities like Promethean vision, hologram, shield, jetpack.

Definitely is going to be polished up, and apparently the game has been affected by COVID-19. I have seen what the new Slipspace Engine can do, and the demo didn't come close to it.

I just read this game is cross platform and its going to be on xbox one and pc and they just optimized it for the series x.
This game was not written to the metal strictly for xbox series x.
This is clearly not the game to just the series x prowse on but to all the fan boys of both systens you are nor going to be able to spot a difference between the ps5 best graphical showcase and the xbox serues x best showcase.
Sure the xbox has 2 more teraflops but that is not going to make any kind of a difference

Yeah the graphics are definitely current gen at best which really means this better be 4k60fps 4:4:4 HDR on the seriesX with an 120 hz hit rate lol

Zelda BOTW was made for Wii, then ported over as a switch launch title.
All the sports games that come out are just ported over as well since, cause why sell to the few that get a launch day console when they can sell to the 150+ million existing owners.
this only means halo might run at 4k 120fps on the series x
.. regardless no one is going to see the true "potential" of these next gen consoles til about 2 years out.
