I hate commercial gyms. overpriced and owned by hippies

$50+/month and they’ll scream at me for deadlifting. most are closed during the weekend

only good thing is a spotter or girls. but these days most people aren’t strong enough to spot me and 99% of the girls will never like you.

That's how the gyms make their money, selling memberships to people who end up quitting and not going.

I think people will switch more to home gyms. People were already becoming anti-social at the gym before covid

People who aren’t going to come back are the people that never took it seriously anyway
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

Reminds me of my apartment complex pool. They're like the pool is open! ...but you have to wear a mask, get a reservation, be escorted in and out by the staff, stay 6 feet away from everyone, not allowed to bring guests etc
At least it opened. The pool in my neighborhood didn't even ope and we just got an email the other day that they're not opening this summer. Total bullchit. Theres never even barely anyone there. Maybe 5 people max at any given time on the weekends.

by living a healthy lifestyle, they really mean sitting at home collecting stimulus cheques, binging on netflex and doing the odd couch stretch. Going outside would be too scary and compromise their health because of coronavirus. However, going to a BLM protest every other weekend is doable because we all know people who are for BLM are immune to it according to our expert medical doctors.

but srs note, I call BS. This is just copemaxxing and an excuse not to go to the gym "but I have these pink dumbbells and I bought this treadmill that I use maybe once a month". Not that these types really did anything in the gym but still. lmfao at these people thinking they found a healthier lifestyle that doesn't involve going to the gym. You can literally go to a planet fitness for $10 bucks a month, less than they are probably spending on detox shakes and vegan nutrition bars.
The real copemaxx is thinking resistance bands and calisthenics don’t already appeal to the average person who most gyms are marketed to.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

going to the gym boosts immunity systems they will try to overplay any lie to supress immunity system like wearing a mask bullchit and stay inside.

humans need to be exposed out that to build a stronger immune system.

I suspect here in canada that once winter hits people will rejoin. Exercising and running outside is not as popular as it is in the summer.

As for me i am going to join the home gym crew.

This. I can't imagine having to workout in a mask.
It would be even worse if you were there to do cardio.
Fuk it. Get a bike and go outside, start jogging and do cardio without a mask.
Feel bad for anyone running a gym right now.
