Still waiting for evidence that COVID is serious for vast majority of population

So far all I’ve seen in people getting covid are those with significant preexisting conditions (diabetes, obesity, celltech use). Srs at some point people are going to be done with this and stop wearing masks, and open their businesses. People are already hanging out on parks where I live even though they’re closed, and police have stopped making people leave the parks.

Very surprised at miscers wanting to tear down individual freedoms for a virus with a 99% survival rate that has been repeatedly lied about. I’m still doing my part and wearing a mask, but it’s simply asinine to put this on the same level as Spanish flu

Wear a mask when people ask you to, stay away from people who don't want to be near you, otherwise live your life how you want and normally.

The above is enough not to be a jackass, but also go ahead and live life how you want to.

"By far the worst virus I have ever endured despite being a healthy individual with strong lungs,"

“It’s still not easy, I think, to recover,” Dimitrov said. “The virus was hard on me. I stayed home for about a month. I was not breathing well, I was not feeling well, tired. All the symptoms.

High level pro athletes, is that good enough for you?

Im getting sick of these st*pid threads where one camp claims this virus is nothing and innocent and not dangerous and a joke, and other people claiming its the plague and we need to shut down everything and not do anything, get a grip people.

The virus is not horrible and dangerous but its not innocent either it shouldn't be underestimated, and you should use common sense like washing hands, avoiding huge crowds, keeping distance etc...

There have been several cases where young fit people also died from it, or got very bad symptoms, even pro athletes.

Yes generally if you are fit and young the chances to die are slim, and to get bad symptoms are not that high, but that doesn't mean your 100% safe, it depends on many factors, and apparently there are many strains some mild some medium and some that are very aggressive.

So don't run into a bunker and hide and think its the apocalypse because of it, but don't be a m*ron and pretend its nothing and be smart about it and use common sense with it, if not for yourself then for your parents or grandparents or other people in your household that are more in danger.

I've had it, and have known dozens with it, including one person that died from it.

It's definitely real.

That said, it's not nearly as bad as the media makes it out to be.

It's like a weird half flu/half pneumonia that takes way too long to go away.

The scary thing is that of the people I know who had it, 4 tested negative initially(myself included).

The testing is absolute ass.

This.

It's proven to my silly bosses that there is no need for us to be inside a stupid office building to look at a PC. They still won't let us work from home after it's gone, so as far as I'm concerned....let the media drag the fear mongering out for as long as possible.

Pro athletes use drugs for performance...

thus not all of them are healthier than a non pro athlete that keeps fit with heavy exercise and no drugs

Also these pro athletes have a vested interest in chasing clout by giving the virus more clout than it deserves

No but the mandated masks set a bad precedent, and they are a substantial hinderance in daily life, whether or not they make a difference (which is now becoming doubtful given mandated masks and cases still rising)

"Asymptomatic"

Lol. Florida brahs on deck. Everybody has a friend of a friend of a friend who had it bad though. According to them. Always with some weird symptoms that make me think that they didn't really have it. You'd be hard pressed to find ANYONE who died from it or knows someone who died from it.

You'll hear stories like "Yeah I tested positive for it recently. I had some diarrhea back in February." or "Yeah I tested positive for it. Had some headaches and my big toe was sore for a week."

They have basically created something that encompasses every symptom that could possibly exist, and if there are no symptoms, it is "asymptomatic". Deaths go up, its because we didn't follow orders. Media explosion. Deaths go down, its because the government ordered lockdowns. Then they cover "rising cases" from an unreliable test instead. Anyone who still buys this BS is legitimately retarded.

They aren’t really. Carry one in your car when you need to get out to shop or whatever. Have one for work if you have to go in. Stay away from people. There was a study that just came out that showed the differences between talking and sneezing with and without a surgical mask on and it evident that they work. The reason cases are spiking is the fact people don’t listen and can’t be bothered with being a responsible citizen. We are all citizens of this country and it should be the responsibility of everyone to do the best that they can’t to limit the spread of this virus.

I agree that things have been blown out of proportion but they’re not really asking a lot out of people. Also, I employed you to tow known hotspot and disregard any suggestions by health officials and test your theory.
