Islam is the dominant religion in Egypt with around an estimated 90% of the population. Almost the entirety of Egypt's Muslims are Sunnis, with a small minority of Shia and Ahmadi Muslims. The latter, however, are not recognized by Egypt. Islam has been recognized as the state religion since 1980.
Muslim dominated countries are not going to accept any western society behavior because it demeans their beliefs and values, I stand by that.

She shouldn't. However IIRC Egypt is quite unstable and went to the brink of a civil war as recent as last year. Lots of different fractions like the muslim brotherhood or the military and the President. Islamists, leftists, centrists and liberals seem to ally back and forth in unstable alliances.
In such a political climate inconsistent lawmaking and people being imprisoned often for minor reason is sadly to be awaited.

Yes. So it's a bigger picture here and one tip would be to not act slooty for the whole world to see it in videos on the interent for a starter if you live in Egypt.

With this little incidence, obvously way less girls are going to post these kind of things, which is basically what the judge and the state want. This is true, whether we support the action or not
