Why do people have such a hard on for Keanu Reeves lately?

Seems like everyone is obsessed with this dude nowadays. I guess him being introverted and one of the most humble actors in Hollywod makes random *******s (redditors in particular) think "OmG hE iS lItErAlLy Me".

His acting is mediocre at best. I haven't watched a single movie of his where I thought his performance was outstanding.

Matrix and John Wick movies were good but holy sh!t, I cringed every time he opened his mouth. What's funny is that a couple years back he was ridiculed for his wooden acting style and now all of a sudden he blew up.

He's also appearing as a cameo in games and some shows nowadays out of nowhere. Like seriously, at this point the dude is treated like the 2nd coming of Jesus and it's annoying as fuk.

Not a great dramatic actor - but he's made some great movies, and when cast right he's good in the role: Speed (one of the goat action movies), Matrix, Point Break, Bill and Ted.
