Ive legit had people tell me chit about strangers i had no business knowing in this small town. Super personal chit and yet the misc pretends like no one gossips. The rumor could simply be “this guy doesnt hang with anyone” and that would be enough

You're coming off as crazy, some sort of delusions of persecution.

I used to live with a guy suffering the same affliction, he mainly thought everyone was spying on him.

It started getting to the point where he couldn't even keep a job because he was becoming a nuisance by constantly complaining to the managers about nothing.

I honestly hope thats true brah. Maybe like what one poster said is that I’m just reading into stranger hate / small town racism too much.

You know how many times i receive chit customer service on a daily basis? I walk up to a cashier and they dont even acknowledge me? Just ring up my chit read the total and hand me a receipt?

I know its not theyre job to be super courteous and friendly but when theyre super nice to the customers right before and after me it feels targeted.

Your feelings are real, what you're perceiving as real isn't. It's not uncommon for people to disconnect from reality due to other issues, it doesn't necessarily mean you've developed a mental disorder either.

I can assure you no one is singling you out or judging you, especially strangers.

Go see a psychologist for one session and tell them what you've said here, you can become dangerous to yourself if you continue to disconnect further.

You can't post this stuff on here OP, it will just get called a mental illness. I'm not even going to comment on it because i really don't know. But i have had encounters with some weirdos myself in the past year or so. Last year some lady came knocking on our door pissed off because we locked my car and it makes a honking noise and around that same time period some dude was following me around in the parking lot just staring at me lol. Another dude drove around in his truck with a dog and stopped me and my GF at least twice. Blocked us in a parking space one of the times. I'm from a smaller city too. People are weird man idk. It's why i don't go out anymore unless i'm storm chasing or going to work or something. There are too many weirdos now days. I also had a dude stalking my car looking for some dude who fuked his GF for a few months when i was younger. Also had two girls stalking me at one of my work places. I had to tell the security people to run them off because they wouldn't stop coming in and bothering me.

Which part of my story is unbiased?

The part where a co-worker lets it slip “she lives in the same apartment complex as my sister” (her exact words) then immediately shuts up as if she let it slip? Even though i never mentioned my sister to her before?

Or the part where a convenience store worker at a shop near my house felt the need to mention he saw me at a 4th of july event so it could get back to me via his ex-coworkers at the store?


I’m not saying anyone is out to do legit harm to me, just that people fcking gossip and theres possibly rumors going around about me I’m unaware of since i dont fk with anyone.

This isnt “everyone i see is out to get me” type chit. Just some people in a 30k population small town my family has been living in their whole lives, just might recognize me. And maybe a few mofos i went to highschool with who are related to or friends with a good majority of these people might have a negative view of me seeing as i was a nerd in school who kept to myself.

Is used to work at a grocery store at 19. It was a common occurrence that the person i was checking out and the person behind them knew each other often gossiping while in line about so and so’s teen daughter having a child with mr.blanks son who used to work over at ____.

As soon as the person i was checking out walked out the store the one behind them they were gossiping with would tell me some dirt about them or start gossiping with the person right behind THEM they also knew.I chit you not. Thats the level of gossiping and rumor spreading I’m talking about

Most of you mofos stay in Arizona or somechit. The south and the Bible Belt is on a different level of pettiness and being in peoples business
