An Egyptian court Monday convicted two women, social media stars, on charges of “violating family values,” and sentenced each of them to two years imprisonment.
Egyptian prosecutors accused Hossam, who usually wears a headscarf in her videos, of inviting young women to sell sex online. Her lawyer, Ahmed Abdelnaby, denied the charge.

if it was simply just for using Tik Tok, yes that's fukked up and way too harsh a punishment. If there was legit sex trafficking , guess its valid.

edit - after reading the article, there really was no proof of sex trafficking. just sounds like some bs the prosecutor threw in to really try to get them 2 years in prison. the videos were also fully clothed and just dancing , very tame stuff.
