Why Do Gay Men Mimic Girls and Lesbians Mimic Men (Doesn't make sense) (srs)
If a gay guy is attracted to men - you'd think the gay community would be trying to be as masculine as possible. Instead they model themselves essentially after women with clothing/grooming/skincare/mannerisms. You'd think they'd all try and look and act like Jon Hamm or Liam Hemmsworth. Some gay men are barely indistinguishable from girls - you might as well date women then.
Same with lesbians. They are attracted to women, yet the whole lesbian community dresses like men (short hair, manly clothes). Why not just date REAL men at that point? You'd think lesbians would be the hottest women possible if they were trying to attract one another.
Not trying to hate - always wondered this and I refuse to ask reddit since this will get shut down in 5 seconds there. (plus most of the misc is gay so good audience to address).
Same with lesbians. They are attracted to women, yet the whole lesbian community dresses like men (short hair, manly clothes). Why not just date REAL men at that point? You'd think lesbians would be the hottest women possible if they were trying to attract one another.

I don't know but this video talks about the "gay" voice. Basically it has to do with how you're raised/who you're raised around. Gay people might spend more time around women as they're growing up due to their interests, etc. so maybe that's where it comes from.
