Corporate welfare. Remember, socialism is great as long as it's for corporations.

Sorry bro, you're wrong. When the economy was up 4% after Trump was elected, not one media outlet said the economy was up 16%.
A democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. And that's why the USA is a constitutional republic and not a democracy.

It's like these elite *******s said tag you're it and started to dump their money in. And what about Kodak, you guys want to talk about a clown world fukkn lol.

This is fine
The economic engine of America is small business. When the economy tanks, small businesses suffer. Big business is immune. They get handouts from politicians to keep themselves profitable (e.g., "too big to fail" bailouts). Big businesses are publicly traded, not small businesses. The Dow only tells you how well big business is doing and this 4+ month lockdown has been great for them. For most of the country (and tens of thousands of small businesses) it's been a disaster. The fact it was all avoidable makes it worse.

Most people who got laid off were low income earners. People that invest are working from home and have more money set aside because they don't have to pay for daycare or travel costs

Federal Reserve is pumping 10 trillion dollars into the economy/Wall Street. Average man gets practically nothing but the multinational corporations get billions from the Fed. Stocks are way over inflated.

stock price is the valuation of a company in us dollars. us dollars are losing their value, or, losing their purchasing power. now it takes more dollars to buy a slice of that company.

Kodak founded in a rat year 1888 (8 the number of power and money), currently a rat year, best time to be a rat sign

Not shocked in the slightest. Would’ve been a solid bet if you saw the writing on the wall

“I hear the refrain that the market is ahead of itself. In reality the market is always ahead of itself. That is, after all, its job. In recoveries the negative case is always more compelling, articulate and reasonable than the positive one, because we can see and focus on the bad news. The market, meanwhile, is looking forward and over the horizon.” - Laszlo Birinyi

“It was the best advice and the earliest advice. I was working at a brokerage house one summer while in college, and one of the guys who was another runner at the firm delivering securities said, “Let me tell you all you need to know about the investment business.” I said, “What’s that?” He said, “Nobody knows nuthin’.” That sounds cynical, but we don’t know what the markets hold, certainly not in the short run. We have no idea.” - John Bogle

Socialism doesn't work when its socialism among the poor. You're never going to get the rich's money no matter how hard it makes you thinking about it. You'd have socialism amongst a bunch of people making 40k a or less a year. Everyone would be poor

Is that kind of like how executives were doing share buybacks to pump the stock price and then immediately went running to Daddy Trump when the pandemic hit? And then he cut them all a blank check?

What’s wrong with that? Corporations are not our enemy. Corporations provide products that we like, and they hire us, and corporations invest in things. Corporations are people, and they’re not inherently evil. And the vaccine and cure for coronavirus will be created a produced by a Corporation.

What incentive is there to run a corporation cleanly now? Do buybacks instead of save cash, raid the pension fund, operate on crazy debt levels, whatever. If the economy tanks and you're immediately busto, the government will just add some 0's to your bank account.
