Men are visual creates and women have to be sensible understanding that revealing clothes draw unwanted attention. I think it's common sense women are more visually appealing of the two sexes. Youth looks and sexual availability are signs men look for so don't show your bum off in tight see through leggings that show your thong, it's going to turn men on sexually that's just nature. It can lead to harrasment and catcalling.

Miscers usually refer to typical white trashy women who are praised by media instead being slut shamed.

Exposing yourself by wearing next to nothing increases those chances. Wearing a trench coat will not stop him if he wants it, but he's more than likely to look right by you if you dress appropriately. Society cant stop bad people from doing bad things, best we can do is not do stuff to make yourself a bigger target.

Of course they're not all gutter trash, IRL I actively only involve myself with women that respect themselves, albeit that's rare in 2020.

Perfect example is all these taken women on this site of half naked men.

They're either here for:

>Shaming men through feminism
>Turboslooting in PM's

Usually it's both, they're subhuman trash so I respond accordingly, men are logical.

What you wear as a woman can and most likely will affect how much attention (which can translate to harassment when it's unwanted) one gets from men in certain settings. If a woman complains about this but continues to wear daisy dukes and crop tops perhaps she should rethink her outfit choices.

That being said when it goes as far as assault/rape, what the victim wears is irrelevant and this is 100% the perpetrator's doing.

I'm not sure what we're debating tbh.

are you saying you keep getting unwanted attention, despite lack of slooty attire?

or your figure hugging clothes are inadvertently being seen as slooty?

Did the misc just solve the problem of rape worldwide? Mommy im on the news!!

Rabbit, its as simple as this:

If a woman wears a slutty dress and walks around alone at 3 am and she gets raped, its unfair and a crime and the rapist should get his balls removed and his head taken away from his body IMO.

But could it have been avoided? Thats a big fat YES. Just dont put yourself in situations where evil people could hurt you, thats it. You cant ask for evil people to stop comitting evil acts, you just cant, drop that idea and try to send the message to everybody (not just females) that you should focus on those things thatare under your control, and stop putting your well being in the hands of the rest of the world.

Evil people will always exist, rapists will always exist, for it to be goodness there has to be evil. Ying and Yang, adjust your life accordingly to that simple rule.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

When that **** happens, do anybody really gives a fuk about what could have been done to avoid it etc? No, the rape happened, brb life altering moment that could have been easily avoided with making just a few different choices.

If you are a parent you should remind to your kids every single fukin morning that the world is full of sick people and that even if its unfair, they shouldnt do things that could make them a target. As simply as that.

Am i going to stay home 24/7 just so i dont get attacked? No

Will i not take my future kids to disneyland just for the slight chances of a terrorist attack happening that same day? No

Will i tell my future hypothetical daughter to get her teenager ass back to her room and change her clothes if shes wearing something very slutty? You bet

Will i tell my future daughter's friends that i will rape their own dads if they dare leaving my daughter alone in a random party to take a random uber back home at 4 am? You bet

I like to live in the grey areas of life. I dont think its much to ask for people to take some precautions even if they are 'unfair'

As far as taking precautions to prevent yourself from being raped as a woman, I'd imagine the situations you put yourself are more relevant than what you wear.
Harassment/unwanted attention though? What you wear could be very relevant.

Bruh...here in SoCal it’s common to see 14-16 year old girls in full THONG/damn near g-string bikinis walking around in flocks...it’s some of the most disgusting and messed up chit you’ll see. Kids, look like act like ARE kids walking around in “bikinis” that look like straight underwear.

Grabbed pizza the other night and a flock of 5 of them came in the store like that, shook my head soo hard in disgust.

This are the girls that get assaulted later in life while wearing next to nothing and swear “Nothing I could have done would’ve prevented him targeting me”

No rape definitely isn't their fault, but a lot of people don't live long being so oblivious.

It isn't slutty to dress provocatively, it's empowered and natural and beautiful unless a man enjoys it and then it's patriarchal sexism, but it's fine if the women are extracting money from the creepy guys paying for their feet pics, and it's bold and empowered for the picture taker, but gross to pay for them, but by all means pay them because what are you sexist? But don't look at the pictures, because that's also sexism, you pig! Better yet, chop off your dick and identify as a woman so that you can know their struggle, because your toxic masculinity is showing. (It's not toxic femininity to spread your legs for every swinging dick you see, either, that is also empowered for the woman, but sexist for the man unless he's signed the consent form.)

/\ That's society. /\ Constantly gaslighting the masses about race, gender, sexuality, politics, masks, and everything in between.

I live in LA. The area where I live, teenagers wear sweatshirts, jeans, and vans or chucks.

One time I took an uber to work and it was a shared ride so the other passenger was a girl. I guess she was going clubbing because she had no shirt on, just a bra. I gave her old lady disapproving glances. The driver was all happy.

Well, not I'm not really into physical punishment but you get my drift.

Reading the title of thread, I took it as meaning harassment as in sexual advances, cat calling, etc. Not rape. As Rabbit mentioned, rape is more about violence than sex.

My thoughts are that women should be able to wear what they want without being physically attacked. If in a relationship then it depends on what her and her SO are ok with, obvi. Of course women should avoid unsafe places, but it's not always possible to never be in an unsafe scenario in your entire lifetime.

As for sexual advances, cat calls, etc. Yes, any person with any common sense should know if they're walking around dressed like a hooker they're going to get attention. Probably a lot of unwanted attention, so acting offended is disingenuous and stupid, IMO.

Quality men do not justify women being harassed cos they are attractive
I dont think anybody on their right mind would justify harassment.

If my hypothetical daughter gets harassed by some dude at 3am, im going to beat up this hypothetical dude. You can be sure however that i will have a talk with my hypothetical daughter though:

"Why were you alone at 3am on this random place? Why were you on this situation on the first place?"

No, a woman shouldnt ever be harassed or threatened, but "shouldnt" isnt good enough for me. On the world i live in (which is the real world), is better to take precautions.

I have noticed that you like lingering on the extreme sides of spectrums though. To answer your question, no i wouldnt be bothered if my daughter wore a tshirt and some shorts on the summer, i mean, come on now, if we are going to talk about this using such arguments we may as well start running in circles.

Its never the victims fault. That doesnt mean it cant be avoided.

Take precautions people, its not that hard to understand. In a perfect world a girl could go out wearing a bikini at 3 am and nobody would even look at her twice... sadly we dont live in a perfect world.

Learn to differentiate between "It was her fault!" and "It could have been avoided". Those two dont mean the same

It depends on so much what area you are in. Some places you just simply could never wear revealing clothes, especially if you're walking alone.

I think anywhere in the world, the probability of you getting rapped if you are just wearing a bra and walking alone increases significantly. Its up to you to evaluate the risks though, as i always say, nothing is black or white, there are always grey areas to everything.

Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

I'm sure there are some neighborhoods where it's normal to moms wear bikini tops and shorts when they pick up their kids from school for instance.

Then there are neighborhoods in big cities like NY, where you would have to cover up because you'd get harassed too much.

I find it odd that you accuse me of dealing in extremes and then happily talk about a woman being out at 3am on their own, that doesn’t happen because of risk.

Dude, thread title is blaming sloot for experiencing harassment. I take the opposite cos otherwise the echo chamber gets so fricken loud and the conversation is more fun
Personally I did all the risky things, even hitchhiking etc. I think I was lucky but I also did experience that in general men are not rapists and they get turned off if you're not into them no matter how slutty you look like. But it's just my experience, and there's always sickos out there but honestly I don't think they care what you're wearing since it's about power mostly.

My example is not that extreme. When women are alone at late hours is when the majority of harassment cases happen.

The bikini example was just to show you to an extreme how can rapes be avoided, but that argument applies to much less extreme situations.

Don’t ever leave your girl-friends alone is another big one... she met a Chad at a party that nobody knows and she decided to stay with him alone, and her friends took off? That’s a recipe for disaster

Rapists prey on vulnerable women. It has little to do with the way they dress. And unlike what people ITT seem to believe, the vast majority of rape is committed by people already familiar with the victim:
