how serious is a cavity? do i need to get it filled? srs.

had my teeth cleaned last week. they took x-rays too.

dentist said i have a minor cavity, she almost didn't catch because it's behind some other tooth or somethin...

but i should get it filled just in case i need a root canal.

i said yeah sure let me call you later to book an appointment.

i have no idea what a cavity is. pls aware me.

Once you get a small cavity it’ll only get worse bruh. Get it fixed now before it inevitably gets worse. Been there before and teeth pain is ****ing horrible

kk. when i didn't book the appointment asap, the receptionist bertstared me. but i don't know, dentists run a business ultimately. and it's been tough with covid, they haven't been working for 2 months. you can't trust them like you would a doctor.

serious if left alone and eventually they will have to rip tooth out and cost more.

they will drill in your tooth and then shove/glue some material in there

not that serious if he said he almost missed it, but it's worth it to get it fixed soon as you can. cavities that need fillings can only get worse, they can't repair themselves

if you're a grown man and this is the first one you've gotten then obviously you have good hygiene so it's not that serious

Cavities are caused by bacterial infections.

If you don’t get it treated eventually it will reach the nerve... then you’ll need a root canal and probably a crown afterwards.

So ya, go get it filled.

Wtf how old are you that you don't know what a cavity is, most people have some fillings by their early 20's

Again wtf yes get it filled now, the longer you wait the more expensive of a fix it becomes

Wait long enough and it will rot down and expose the nerve and boyo that's a level of pain you don't ever want

Even the smallest cavity is srs because it will continue to get bigger even with the best dental hygiene.
Drilling isn't expensive, get white fillings. You'll be done in 10 minutes.

Your mouth tastes gross when you wake up due to all the food/bacteria in your mouth at night. Not because you're a mouth breather.
Start brushing your teeth at night and your tongue (use a tongue scraper) and the bad taste will disappear.

Also it's dumb af not to brush at night, because at night you produce less saliva. That's when you're most prone to cavities. And that's when you accumulated all those sugars and starches that the bacteria feed on because of the food you've been eating.

If you brush once a day, brush at night. If you don't want your breath to smell like chit because you have to go to work, then brush twice a day.

TMI ******* groce/10

Brush every morning & night at minimum and you can prevent 90% of tooth problems in life assuming your grill isn't throwing up gang signs like a section 8 soundcloud rapper

Go get it taken care of. Cavities dont heal and they dont go away. It only gets worse the longer you let it stay. Root canals and crowns are very expensive. God help you if you have ****ty dental insurance.
