That's wild it actually stopped the bullet. Could probably drink your intestines through a straw after getting shot though.

Well sure, I think the point is that if it can “stop” a .50 bmg, how safe are you against a more probable 5.56 or 7.62.

It's possible to have some ribs break and be totally fine...they probably have it so that most of the shock is absorbed and it won't kill you outright unless u get unlucky...still incredible armor

Idk much about this, but I'd imagine something that blocks a .50 doesn't necessarily always block the smaller rounds. I think it depends on how the rounds are shaped, what they are made of, and how the armor works. I'm not sure it works like that where just because something stops a .50 cal, it must stop all lower cals. Another issue is these heavy armors are...heavy af. Probably weighs 20-30 lb so probably not practical for everyone to have.

It's a good watch. Some guy got a custom made vest that could withstand a high caliber round. It succeeded, but would have broken all of a person's bones. He also fired off a cool looking rifle. It also involved a Mexican man referring to him as a male goat throughout the entire video.
