Are they setting up scholarships or something with it? Maybe lobbying for a certain type of legislation?

Idk what you do with a memorial fund?

Seems a bit excessive for a coffin and cemetery plot.

It goes directly to his estate where the family is basically free do do whatever they want with it. If they choose to give it to BLM that is up to them. gofundme doesnt care, they take their cut, its setup to go to the estate, so after gofundme takes their percentage, they have complete control.
