If he misses the Champions league games because of a heartbreak, you just know shes going to take her back. He better finds his backbone and does his fukin job srs. Im guessing this is his first heartbreak, thats why i have always said that a good old fashioned TRUE heartbreak is a positive when it happens to a young man, its a life changing experience (srs). You become much more stronger and wiser after that beta phase.
