I've decided to be Jewish.

I grew up Catholic, but all the Catholic people I knew are dead now, and I never really went to church anyway...plus I fell out of the faith a long time ago.

Anyway...Ive decided to become Jewish, so whenever people ask me what faith I am now I will say Jewish.

Don't be hating just because Jewbrah now.

I do need to find a nice Jewish girl to show me the ropes, though. I can't wait, honestly...Ben Shapiro makes it sound like they have it all figured out.

I have thought about making the switch.

Israel Regardie has some great books on beginner kabalah.

If I have a son he'll have to skip the briss though.

Can't beat the "right to return" back to Israel escape plan.

You're missing the point. It's not about belief. It's about discipline. Christianity and Islam you can convert in a day. Converting to Judaism takes a long time. It can take years. You have to be trained, you have to learn the ways, you have to be tested, you have to be vetted. We do this so only the most disciplined, brightest, and strongest willed can enter the tribe.

I'm probably not going to get too deep into the details like that. I'm more of a big picture guy, but I'll defintely be supporting only Judaism from now on.

However, real Jews won't. Until you pass the test (which can take years). Not saying you can or can't. Just saying you have to prove it. The reason we do this is so if in another 10 minutes you decide to be Hindu, you won't have weakened the tribe. It's a test of commitment. Are you ready to be hated every where you go? Kicked out of places just because you are Jewish? Killed for wearing a star of David on your neck? Only those who answer yes are even considered.

You could marry a Jew and have Jewish children though.

I'm not all that worried about fitting in, since I'm probably the only Jew in my town. Feels good to add some diversity around here for a change.
