Just bought another 1500rds of 5.56

Should be good now. Will have around 2000rds of the good Lake City m193 rounds for SHTF. That's apart from my range inventory.

How are you guys storing your pandemic hoards? I've seen the jobsite boxes as an alternative to wedging it all in your safe?

Almost bought another 1k Sunday when Ike posted a link. Probably should have. But gonna wait a bit. Have around 1.5k now, but will be using around 1k for a couple classes next month.

Buy where you can. I'm still stocked from around 2012, about 3k 5.56, 1k .308., 4k .40.

I would have bought that link but they don't ship to CA. I'd post what I bought here except it sold out already. lol.

Honestly I wouldn't take a class if I only had 1500rds. I'm setup with something like 8000rds if 9mm right now, plus I reload... and I'm debating if I keep shooting USPSA right now. lol

Haven't really had any trouble getting ammo recently. You just have to be quick when it does pop up, and not mind paying 50-55cent a round lol. My dad also has a couple thousand rounds on hand in case of emergency. But I'll probably go ahead and bite the bullet next time I see some in stock.

Just got an AR for the first time a couple months ago. So the training to me is worth it.

As far as 9mm though I only have around 600 rounds left lol probably need to get some of that while I'm at it. Don't you have a p226? How do you like it? That's what I have.

Ammo Cabinet.

About 16k total rounds between all calibers.

Lol makes sense. Everyone has a different set of assumptions and concerns to work with right now. Living in CA, I fully believe semi-auto firearms and ammo could be illegal to acquire within a year at this point. So I'm not even buying stuff to shoot. I'm buying the factory ammo I'd use for defensive purposes to store, then bulk components to reload for the range. If you shoot a lot, look at getting setup on a progressive press. Everyone laughed at me a year ago bc ammo was so cheap. Now I'm saving like 35c per round on 9mm. Lol

Yep, still got a pair of 226s. I love both of them, but I've just starred shooting mostly Glock. My 19 and 34 get the most rotation now.

I'm in GA so I might have a little more time before they come for our rights. But I'll be fully stocked before the election for sure.

How many armed confrontations do you expect to prevail in to be needing thousands and thousands of rounds? Is this range ammo? Or SHTF supply?

I have not bought any centerfire since Obama won the first election. Probably have over 10k rounds (excluding .22 LR, have at least 10k of that).

Most urban gunfights end within about one magazine's worth. And I don't think there are enough deer in the US to match all the bullets you guys are stocking. Ya'll some crazy bastards seriously.

realistically in a SHTF scenario there's going to be a few groups of marauders in each area who are ex spec ops that are going to around merking everyone, and taking their ammo and food.

JFL at cat brah that thinks he's going to be needing thousands of rounds.

They will probably have NVGs/infrared weapons/concussions... you would be absolutely f*cked if they decided you were their target.

Or expect the price to be higher in the future and don't wish to compete with the folks who don't prepare ahead. Been through a panic, not fun.

Most definitely meerin. So that's an actual gun cabinet, not a safe?

I might just do that, because I can't afford a legit $2000+ safe anyways, so a locked door is a locked door at this point. I've seen how easily thieves can crack cheap safes.
