Yeah the positive here is that developed countries are now prepared enough to do more localized lockdowns instead of massive ones. My province tracks everything down to geographic areas within cities, so you can open up maps that show case loads almost down to the neighborhood

The mass lockdowns that were done early on, blame lacking preparedness and funding and foresight. Hopefully we remember this for next time, because this won’t be the last pandemic we face

90% of the deaths are in nursing homes with people over 80+, this shows a huge mismanagement of the aged care facilities.
If the government had not shut down any business or no restriction, and put ALL aged care facilities and everyone over 70 in lockdown with hazmat suits,
we wouldn't be 200+ billion in debt and there would be a NIGHTY PERCENT~ reduction in deaths.

That’s common sense and doesn’t appeal to the boomer voting block who would/did sell their own kids for another 6 months living in a retirement home.

Also Australia is 20 years overdue for a recession, up to our eyes in debt and only staying afloat by selling off all our farms, resources, homes and unis to foreigners. Rona is the perfect scape goat for the collapse that was inevitable anyway

The funny thing is they were doing as good as the rest of the country, then the Premier of the State allowed a BLM protest to take place( which was against the social distancing restrictions he himself brought in at the time) which then contributed to another spike in cases.

They also live 8-9 deep in small government housing which will obviously spike the numbers as everyone in those households will contract it.
