My wife is Asian and I have lived in China for many years.

If they don't like their station in life, a lot will just get on with it and try to better themselves. They accept life as it is and don't blame others for where they're at. In short, they don't play the victim, nor see themselves as victims.

Because in Canada and America almost all Asians are immigrants who worked hard back home and met the criteria to get in and continue to work hard here. They teach their kids to work hard and have strong family values.

This is true of any race who immigrates here legally. Black Africans and West Indians who move to the U.S. legally no matter what their occupation are usually hard working and have good ethics and a strong family. They teach their kids to be the same and even though a lot of the time they live in the same neighbourhoods as black Americans and illegal immigrants, their kids far far outperform everyone else in that neighbourhood.

There's a reason why they don't talk about asians when it comes to things like the wage gap and other "proof" of white/male supremacy. It's because they ruin the narrative. They say Canada and the US are white supremacy nations and use the success of white males as proof. When I was in 6th grade and was on my bike with my other Asian friends on the way to the lake, out of NOWHERE a cop comes and asks us questions.. then cuffs the 2 of us for vandalism. I was more shocked than anything and other friend started crying.

Cop took us to the fanily that called the cops, typical white trash family.a little 7 year old kid told his mom we scratched their car. It was a red HOOPTY ASS CAR. Was like WTF?!?! Other friends were still there and raged, and one of our friend's mothers bitched out the cop... straight up discrimination at the fullest. Legit felt it.

Would start **** with me and the other Asian kid all the time, and one day when a white kid named Josh Parsons called a black girl named Travilia Crawford the N bomb, this prick asked Josh "why would you call her a n...ER. said the hard R like he was waiting for it. He is the first person I truly felt discrimination against, always took the white kids word over mine.

Interesting fact. Most family wealth only lasts 3 generations. Typically, its the 1st generation of immigrants who works the hardest because they have the drive and motivation to not have it as tough as their parents. So these guys become successful and makes their kids lives easier. Then their kids have easy life, breed and have kids with even easier lives and it's all downhill from there.

Goes back to that quote "hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men creates hard times".

Blacks have a different upbringing because immigrants come in with the motivation to succeed, blacks grow up being told they're a victim. So the nuanceness of this is that it's true that black people are victims of their circumstances, but not for the reason MSM would cite, they're victims because of their culture and the mindset that culture fosters. They're not anymore under-priviliged compared to Asians, in fact they have extra privilege to try offset their toxic culture, but it's not enough. Influences are very strong.

If you were to list pros and cons:
Asian Pros:
- Nuclear family.
- Emphasis on disciple, hard work and academia.
- Motivation to succeed and work hard as their parents did and surpass them in wealth so you can care for them when they're old.
- Not racially profiled as a criminal
- No bad influences from Asian media and thuggish friends

Asian Cons:
- Largely ignored by civil rights movements, affirmative action or any of those priviliges
- Under-represented in media and politics
- Self-esteem issues due to under-representation, mis-representation and other people buying into that representation
- Smaller stature
- Weaker in the dating market
- People can be openly racist to you
- Harder to get ahead due to handicap of affirmative action, society has set a higher bar for you

Black Pros:
- Everyones pandering to you, civil rights movements all about you. BRB affirmative action, brb quotas.
- Over represented in Media and sports
- Bigger stature
- Stronger in the dating market due to positive media representation (in terms of sex) and the bbc
- Easier to get ahead if you actually decided you want to get ahead due to affirmative action and quotas, society has set a lower bar for you.
- People can't really be racist to you, nobody is afraid to say "chnyk" or "kung flu" but can you imagine people openly saying the N-word or making up a term called "Black virus" or "hip hop flu" with race connotations?

Black Cons:
- Represented as a thug, police and public will see you as such
- Uphill battle in trying to separate yourself from the pack of thugs who want to draw you into their lifestyle
- Uphill battle of being able to think outside the box because you are IN the box, in that neighbourhood, in that home that fosters a culture against doing well in school and speaking properly.
- Constantly pitted against Whites, race war must get tiring
- More likely to be a target of extreme racism from white supremacists

I think points 2 & 3 for black cons is what really holds them back.

my parents are 1st generation immigrants to Canada, from south asian ancestry. school was something that was very important for them from back home and it was a lot more rigorous and strict from their stories than it is here.

They would walk 45 minutes one way to school, started at 8 and ended at 4, on top of that tuition was a thing for most kids so add another 2 hours on top of that, plus another 1 hour of homework and another hour of religious studies. So pretty much 12 hours of schooling 5 days a week. How you did in school was actually very important and crucial to the types of jobs that you got, if you fuked up a big exam it had the potential to screw your career choices permanently. The chinese people there were no different, they were among the highest achievers and got the best marks in school.

This was also back when teachers were allowed to beat the fuk out of kids and gave out some weird punishments (i.e: kneel on jagged bottle caps) lol. And my dad was telling me that he wasn't scared of the teacher beating him, but the punishment from his dad for doing chit that caused the teacher to beat him. You had no time to be out there on the streets doing stupid chit, and parents would beat their kids' ass for it if they got caught slipping. People didn't really have time to be "victims" either because nobody would care and the govt wouldn't do chit so the only choice was to work.

Was also a more racist society, with black people who lived on the outskirts of the city having beef with hindus and muslim people (whom also had beef with each other) who lived more in the city. White and asian people kept mostly out of it and there are not as many of them either.

I guess those experience got carried down to me in terms importance of school, I know my parents had it way harder than I ever did. We just too busy becoming accountants, IT specialists and 7/11 owners boyos. Also I don't think Indian and South Asian people would be taken serious in terms of crime. Brb some indian manlet walks up to you and says run your pockets, fukn lol. If an indian crew decided to form a criminal gang we would be the softest gang ever lol. Also the immigrant thing. Nigerian Americans tend to be more successful than even the average white population. Possibly because only the best immigrate, but they have it tougher than anyone though. You might be a doctor or some other profession in your home country but you still more than likely need to take additional schooling in America to get hired for certain jobs. Probably one of the biggest factors of success though is having an intact nuclear family.

Yeah that's actually true, I remember the VVT back in the day. However I would consider them more of a syndicate because they were highly organized and dealt with crime on a larger scale. They ran it like a legit business plus I think some of the dudes were actually fighters for the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka srs. Along with some violent crime they dealt a lot with fraud, all sorts of trafficking and extortion.
