Headphones is poverty. I like to hire a live Mariachi band to follow me around while I lift.

Music or podcasts makes no difference to me. I’ve been listening to something for over a decade now so people will fuk off while I’m lifting. Can’t stand people coming and asking me during a set how many sets I have left, if someone is using this bench, is anyone using that.

Now when I lift at home I don’t lift to anything or just a podcast. Kind of sick of listening to music.

I lifted at an La fitness in San Diego years ago. One time they had a live band (srs). Another time a DJ. No one liked it. Gym management was seriously retarded.

Always allowed these hot girls who worked for a supplement company to set up a booth and walk around to try and sell supps while you’re lifting or bother you when you’re walking in.

I'm a musician.

I don't listen to music when I lift.
I HATE having music inflicted on me that I didn't choose to listen to.

If the gym is playing music I put on my headphones and listen to a podcast or something.
Most of the new music is total garbage (Last 20 or so years) New Country sucks. Hip Hop sucks. Pop sucks. Metal has sucked since Metallica. I honestly thought Metallica was a joke band like Spinal Tap because they were so corn-ball.

I look for cool underground stuff I've never heard before.
