How do you guys stay motivated once you have reached your "goal physique"?

Some people are motivated to train because they start off really fat or really skinny and they want to look fit, toned, muscular and in shape.

Once you get the desired body, and you feel strong enough, what drives you to continue going to the gym, spending thousands on supplements, and eating clean all the time, counting your calories etc?

For me personally, I always crave that endorphin rush after smashing PR's, and I always feel more productive and filled with energy after a good workout

Been happy with my body for years. working towards elite level calisthenics movements keeps me motivated. Not sure how someone can be proud or motivated adding 20lbs to a deadlift tbh, gymcels are really cringe to me

Lmfao I'm content with my current body, but I'm nowhere near my goal physique.
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

It's hard since I just took progress pics and comparing them for pictures five years ago, they look exactly the same. It's hard to keep motivated when you don't see change.

Now, if you actually reached your goal physique, he'll yeah you'd want to keep it.

Sorry to hear. are you trying to bulk up or slim down? Usually if you train hard but look the same, you gotta either up your calories, or decrease if trying to lose weight

Props to you for staying consistent for 5 years

No supplements other than a protein shake here and there. I think the vast majority of supplements are a waste of money and a scam.

Gym is fun to me and I look forward to it so that doesn’t cost me any effort.
yeah if gym is fun it makes things so much easier. Do you get paid by any chance from lifting? (youtube channel, sponsors, competitions etc)

They say if you really love what you do, its better to pursue that as a career over something you dislike but pays you more

I haven't really stayed consistent and I don't even track any macros or anything. Now I don't even go to the gym since they are closed.

I should have done bulk/cut cycles and tracked macros. It's not something I'm willing to do so there's that.

Somehow I thought, I'd still look at least a little different by now. I am okay with it, though. My goal has shifted to longevity as I'm getting older.

How about your friends and families. Do they compliment you on your physique or how big you are etc?

Sometimes photos can be misleading. I was cutting for a few months (didnt check weight), and although my clothes did feel tighter i felt like i was the same until i went to a friends baby shower and people told me ive lost a lot of weight

Literally nobody would notice I lift weights if I didn't tell them. Feels bad.

Join classes. Something like HIIT that keeps you in cardio and weights shape. Usually there is a steady stream of hot poon to keep you motivated. I have this same problem.

I enjoy lifting more than i enjoy progress. It's fun.

I have about as much muscle as i could hope for as a natty after 11 years training without turning into a full gymcel. Ideal physique would be much leaner but I feel better at higher bf so I'm stuck here for now.

Let it all go to **** and just bloatmaxx for a year until you become disgusted with yourself again.
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.

Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.

Probably never going to reach goal physique, what with the cycle of BJJ injuries, so I embrace performance and typically find that I wind up looking better the more I chase fitness feats/conditioning and the less I obsess about looks.
