Watched the vid months ago. From what I remember I was with the guy until his whole “Haiti is poor because low IQ nigurs” chit. It’s as reductive as blaming it on racism. Mali, Songhay, Benin and Ghana were all pre colonial W. African empires and kingdoms that thrived despite being ruled by blacks, so the low IQ argument don’t cut it.

It’s really not about race but making people feel that they belong in a particular social structure. Everyone wants to be different but the “same” as well. Anywho, corporations leach off of the most brilliant and regardless of race, gender or religion. They own so many intellectual properties with such a long hold on patents (25 years) that technology has become stagnant. Anyways we are all owned by global corporations. You can only go in so many directions as a global economy(wind bs solar bs oil vs natural gas bs etc)

This is the border between the Dominican Republic and Haiti

After the raping, they have just had one after another power struggle, rampant corruption, etc. Haiti could be fixed rather easily and quickly, if it weren't for the corruption, the corruption is so severe that it permeates absolutely everything.

Remember that huge earthquake that killed about 100k Haitians, I was in DR when that happened, nothing happened in the Dominican Republic, but all of Port Au Prince crumbled, because of how shoddy everything is done, just so a few people can skim off the top.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if DR annexed Haiti. So many Haitians are living illegally in DR already. And while DR has a ton of issues, improvements are being made everyday.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I heard a story about a multinational company that tried to set up a beverage bottling plant in Haiti. 800 jobs and they were also going to bottle water for the locals. Cheap labor and a feel good story, right?

However, every single thing they shipped there was stolen by the government as soon as it hit the docks lmao. Even random stuff with no secondary market. Entire shipping containers just disappeared while the government played dumb. The company abandoned the entire thing and lost $20M.
