The reason Trump is banning TikTok is purely as reciprocity because China doesn't allow any US tech companies to operate within China. TikTok is the first major Chinese tech invention to actually become big here.

Trump is using this as leverage because China doesn't allow Google or ******** or anyone else to operate there. And TikTok is basically a spyware app.

TikTok is a display of the absolute worst culture I've ever witnessed. Lip-syncing, dress-up, bouncing, exaggerated facial expressions...I hate it so much. But the content isn't even just innocent "kids being retards." Yall remember that computer that batman had where he could basically spy on every corner of Gotham City in real time? Thats what Tiktok is essentially doing. Its been reverse-engineered by multiple infosec firms and they are all in agreement that the level of shady data that's being collected goes far, far beyond what ********, twitter, etc. do.
