I've never been to Canada, how come they apologise so much? Sounds a bit like the Home Counties (rich South-Eastern part of England) - the English (used to be, at least) notorious for queuing, good manners, apologising if people bump into us etc.
I can easily tell UK accents apart yeah, I'm rubbish at ones from other countries though haha. We do have a LOT of regional accents. The Geordie/Liverpudlian ones for example.. no comment ayy. London is hardcore and cool.

but americans assume everything you say is much funnier than it actually is, and like you probably found out some women will say things like 'I just love hearing you talk' etc.

Legitimately have never seen or heard a UKcel that didn't sweat soy & reek of submissive personality, somehow you just know their liberal wives are pegging them.
Won't even go into their often high pitched accents, cringe.

There are dozens of British accents which vary not only by region but culture and socioeconomic status.
Like a "London accent" might be cockney, Oxbridge gentleman's club or a bunch of people talking like they just got off a boat from Kingston even though they grew up in London. Plus a bunch of other accents on top. On a smaller scale, that kind of thing applies all over the country.

He would stand up in the boardroom in a sick tailored suit and deliver a presentation on fixed income in a British accent .... sounded like an absolute boss talking about credit spreads, the yield curve, duration etc in that accent
Immediately sounded more sophisticated and intelligent just because of the accent srs
Smashed so many Canadian chicks too lol
And all the office girls loved his accent and would comment on how hot it was
