Nobody cares about anything anymore either. I tried talking about Patrick Maholmes the other day and two normies just disagreed with me yet again and started agreeing with each other he was worth 450 million yada yada. It's like there is no way to even have a conversation anymore.

In what world is an athlete worth 450 million?

But it doesn't matter what it is people just disagree and say what they want to say, people aren't even accepting of others opinions. It's always they are right and you are wrong. So what is the point?

I agree with people fairly often on here. And i use logic and critical thinking skills. These people are just hardcore Chiefs fans so of course they are going to say he is worth 450 million. No player is worth that much.

I really need to dopamine detox. I didn't fap for 3 days and I starting feeling better. Just basic human interaction gave me some happiness and I wasn't depressed but it's so hard. I always tell myself I'm doing it but then as my mood increases I want to smoke and fap more than ever.

If you are depressed you are living in the past.
If you are anxious you are living in the future.
If you are at peace you are living in the present.

This.

Also, watch the following Jordan Peterson clip where he talks about the forthright claim that the existentialists make. Watch the whole thing or skip to 7:12 for the meat of the matter:

Watched the whole clip, interesting to see that Peterson (who I am aware of but not terribly familiar with) seems to have a very good grasp on Nietzsche. I was obsessed with Nietzsche for years (and Dostoevsky for that matter), and he is very often misunderstood and misinterpreted.

One sentence from my post above is actually from a quote from a translation of Nietzsche in the Gay Science, the same book where the "death of God" is proclaimed:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pursue your best or your worst desires, and above all perish! In both cases you are probably still in some way a promoter and benefactor of humanity and therefore entitled to your eulogists—but also to your detractors. But you will never find anyone who could wholly mock you as an individual, also in your best qualities, bringing home to you to the limits of truth your boundless, flylike, froglike wretchedness! To laugh at oneself as one would have to laugh in order to laugh out of the whole truth—to do that even the best so far lacked sufficient sense for the truth, and the most gifted had too little genius for that. Even laughter may yet have a future. I mean, when the proposition "the species is everything, one is always none" has become part of humanity, and this ultimate liberation and irresponsibility has become accessible to all at all times. Perhaps laughter will then have formed an alliance with wisdom, perhaps only "gay science" will then be left.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Personal insignificance, the illusion of a lasting ego, the lack of meaning or ultimate purpose, creates what I have always related to as something of a sandbox world. Life as a version of Gary's Mod essentially. There is nopointto doing any of it, it has no goal or aim in and of itself, but you can play around in it and find some real joy in just being.

There is no need to feel guilty for not measuring up to some arbitrary standard. Stockpiling wealth, having attractive mates, possessing power, those are all aims that drive and sustain life to be sure, but they are not commanded from on high to be achieved. They truly don't matter in any measurable way more than somebody who finds contentedness in a cloister of monks or isolated in a cabin somewhere.

There is so much joy in the realization that you don't really need anything, because you are of no significance. The dance will go on with or without you, and take many forms long after you are gone. The ego is a prison, I think it may be best to destroy it.

Do people even meet irl anymore? Srs

I get the feeling people just want to be left alone. Like at work only the really weird people want to talk to me but everyone else just stays to themselves. Like i can't hang out with dudes who like Harry Potter and chit lol.

People are really awkward bro. That vibe that they want to be left alone is usually just their awkwardness/lack of social skills, or your own projection of anxiety/insecurity.

Just noticed I have another problem now. I weigh like 12 pounds more than I normally do & noticed yesterday I’ve been gaining weight during quarantine. I guess I’ve been eating more than I should have been lately & haven’t been exercising at all either. No gyms are open though so how am I supposed to train?

Just got pulled into the office and my supervisor mentioned how quiet I am and how people have said I don't say a word.

People just don't like quiet people man. There's nothing to yalk about anyways. Literally every day I just hear people talk about the most random crap that doesn't interest me.

I legit don't know what to say to people. I'm Good for a few sentences throughout the day but thats all.

One don´t need other people to be happy, yeez. It helps to have friends and I recommend it, but so many normies are freaking retards. Don´t base your happiness on their approval. There are cool people out there, so put yourself in position to meet them. Move some other place or whatever. If I lived in the US, I couldn´t take living in the city for too long. I would eventually move rural and live with nature. Western society is sick and degenarate, so don´t try to chase the rat race in the clown world, it doesn´t matter.

I´m also a pretty quiet introvert, always have been. But I have learned to work around it, so sometimes I´m not quiet, sometimes I am. Why dont you save up money and buy a small farm or something? Have a goal you can work towards, something you look forward to. I know I couldn´t take working in an office every day, even though thats what my education is. I´d rather be poor

Nothing wrong with staring at a wall. Boredom is the default of the universe, boredom is not bad. You can find great peace in staring at a wall. You can feel more alive staring at a wall, than jumping out of an airplane.

Yeah, thats why you should move away if you can´t handle it. Smaller towns are at least more peaceful. There is so many beautiful places in america, it´s a huge country.

I’ve never been in a worse place mentally. Recently I made a mistake leading to the loss of friendship with my best friend (a 16 year long friendship) and it also caused me to lose all friends and acquaintances associated with him. After this I realized he was basically my only friend lol I only have one other friend I see every once in a while.

I just don’t feel confident about my ability to make new friends for some reason. I feel socially incompetent now. I talk to people and when they start talking about their social life’s and the things they do with their friends I instantly lose confidence because I realize I can’t relate any of my own experiences anymore. It also sucks knowing there is no way for me to land a gf or date attractive girls if I have no friends or social life. Plus I feel like my life is boring and I barely have anything to talk about anyway

I feel extremely lonely and negative and it’s kind of scaring me how unhappy I am

Wow man, I literally could have wrote this entire post exactly the same as you did. Feel exactly the same. I don’t have a social circle anymore either & it’s impossible for me to make friends anymore when everyone has their own lives already. It’s a very depressing feeling.

Thats basically it. Since everyone already has friends idk how to make any. I don't want to be the 5th wheel or whatever where they only want to talk to me when nobody else is around. Sure enough though everyone I interact with already has a friend group. I try to talk to people sometimes but this is blocking me from making any progress. I also feel like people I talk to like me the least or just barely tolerate me.

I think our only chance is finding another job since there’s no one at work we can hang out with. Meet ups just don’t work since it’s forced & it’s not organic in meeting people. And going places alone don’t work since everyone is already in their own groups. At my previous job when every few months I would go to a bar with a few co-workers if I wasn’t with them I would have been looked at as the weird loner guy since everyone there was already in their own groups. The social media era has everyone living in their own bubble & if they don’t have your number in their phone you don’t matter to them.

The social media era has everyone living in their own bubble & if they don’t have your number in their phone you don’t matter to them.
I've tried that bro. I've worked in several different locations but it's all the same. If i have tried talking to different people and have been to different job locations it's only logical to think that things just aren't going to change that easily. At my old job i had tons of friends but i left there over 6 years ago. Now days like you said are just different. Everyone is their own little bubble and if you are a loner then you have to get lucky meeting someone who doesn't have friends already. That's all you can do. But i also can't just be friends with anyone. I have to at least share the same interest so i can hang out with them or talk about something i'm interested in. Talking about netflix and stuff like that isn't going to work.

What's weird is people try to talk to me but it's always people much older than me or they just talk about netflix or their kids. Or talk about food/restaurants half the day. I can't hang out with people 15-20 years older than myself.

What I don’t get is there’s certain people that can literally start at a job & within a week or two they’ll have a bunch of friends already somehow. The extroverts have it so easy when it comes to meeting people. But whenever I hear anybody talk about anything it’s always boring typical **** that I have no interest in. Everyone I think feels like they have to just like the same typical stuff so they can fit in.

They connect by talking about netflix shows or restaurants that's about it. I hear people talking all the time but it's always the same topics every day. It doesn't make sense to me how people can do this every day.

It's like they are all the same person man. I've been saying this for years. Like today i listened to my coworkers talk about food, netlfix and a zoo for like an hour or more. I don't hear people talk about the new XBOX or PS5 or anything it's just the same 4-5 boring topics.

Well, what can I if it’s not realistic enough to happen? The odds of me having a dream job just isn’t realistic otherwise everyone would be doing it. Also, where am I going to meet people anymore? I talk to 2 friends through text & one is married while the other lives like 5 hours away in another state. I don’t have anyone to hang out with.
