Don't understand addiction to pain killers...personal chemistry thing maybe. When I've had them (prescribed) they make me itchy, nauseous, and keep me from sleeping depending on which one it is. Seems like I did finally land on one that was not awful, but it also wasn't anything I craved.

Just based on reading misc I would have guessed booze and self-abuse are the most common.
